SOS FOR WARNOCK ???

Sun Sep 01, 2024 9:19 am

Under Bulut we have now won 10 home league games out of the last 25, so far this season in 4 league games we have only looked half decent for about 20 minutes. (second half against the jacks) In my opinion the whole squad don't look fit, they don't look as if they are playing for each other or the shirt. Now, my thread title is a wee bit tongue in cheek but everything that Warnock brings to the table is EXACTLY what is missing with this team, there is no intensity when we attack, we are not in the opposition faces, and mostly when we go behind heads drop and game over. Apart from the obvious lack of goal scorer we have a half decent squad who are way better than what we are seeing, maybe they struggle to take in the way Bulut wants them to play and they certainly are not prepared to run through a brick wall for him. For me Bulut has to go, my only concern would be that because this was a Dalman choice Tan would now take over and give the job to Omer Riza or god fobid one of his previous dead beats. Finally, i heard the terrible news about Sol Bamba this morning, a player who did run through a brick wall for our club and loved being a part of it. RIP Sol.

Why default to Warnock??

Go get someone else who is for the long term.

I don't think we should have Warnock back.

He left us with a lot of over paid players who we struggled to shift.

I don't actually like going back to a manager or a player from the past.

Spot on, a young ambitious manager who plays the modern way is what we need.

Absolutely not.

We don’t need to be overspending on agents again, agents who just happen to know him well.

Also look at his career lately.

Failed at Middlesbrough and left Aberdeen after a very short time.

Let him continue to do his evening talks.

Paul, whilst I do think Erol will not be able to turn this around and sustain form or the players belief.
I even more so think that going back to Warnock Ball is a major mistake.
We have only recently gotten some players that actually play football instead of big lumps of hoof ball.
We need a manager who will be progressive and play an expansive game. We will struggle to find him.

I love Warnock and he was the right man, at the right time with the right fan base but we need to find a younger version. There are a host of them but we are not Swansea, I believe the majority want the ball forward quicker, it doesn't need to be aimless, but Klopp and Ange get the ball forward much quicker Bulut.

I wouldn't want everyones darling Liam Rosenior, far too Swansea for me. Alex Neil or Gary Rowlett know their way around this division a contract to the end of the season and take it from there.

Tony, i did say it was tongue in cheek  biggest point i was trying to make was all of what Warnock builds his basics on (workrate, commitment etc) is all that's missing with our lot. What does concern me is who tan would bring in if he does the right thing and gets rid of Bulut.

We need to move on from Warnock and Tan, that’s the root cause for me
