Sol Bamba fan tribute update.
By Tony Rivers
Last night , I was invited to attend a meeting of all the supporters groups at the club. In attendance were reps from the disabled association, the supporters club, the fan liaison officer , the trust and various other Cardiff fans
Within less than 24 hours there was already over a fantastic £3000 thanks to 200+ donations.
Those in attendance want to thank everyone for their kind generosity. The fund will now be centralised with the various supporters groups as one official account
Before anything can move forward, Cardiff City Football Club who have already announced there will be a tribute at the Leeds game will let the supporters groups know exactly what the plans are, and although there will be a fans tribute on the day, a permanent display will be planned but Sol Bamba’s wife Chloe and the family will be spoken to first on any design granted with their sole permission.
Also other ideas are open to us all. Please email
CCFCFAB@gmail.com with any suggestions
If you know of any printers / designers who can also guarantee a Fire Certificate please email.
We are looking at doing a banner for the Leeds Home tribute game and that we should aim for a large flag identical in size to the current Peter Whittingham and Phil Dwyer flags in the stadium at a later match. The designs will be considered after discussing with Sol’s wife Chloe and the Bamba family
Flags of this standard cost approximately £6k + The Cardiff City Fan Advisory Board held a meeting with all interested parties, including representatives from the club on the 3rd Sept, and has now set up a Sub Group, named "The Bereavement and Ex Players Focus Group" all monies raised will be transferred over to the group, this will ease anyone who have worries donating to this page and it ensures full accountability and transparency, so please contribute to such a wonderful cause.
