Norway call-up for Jesper

Having recently joined the Bluebirds from Cercle Brugge K.S.V, centre-back Jesper Daland has earned a call-up for Norway.

Their UEFA Nations League campaign starts with an away fixture against Kazakhstan, prior to hosting Austria three days later.

Jesper is yet to make his senior international debut, has previously represented his country from U15s up to U21s level.

Hopefully this means his injury was not a serious one.

From what I’ve seen so far I’m amazed that he hasn’t got a senior cap already !!

He’d certainly walk into the Wales first XI.

I’ve always thought they must have a terrible defence in recent years, otherwise why can’t they qualify with Haaland and Odegaard?

Based on what we’ve seen so far, Daland deserves to get his debut for them. Been very impressed with him.

I get the feeling that now he’s playing in the Championship, he will get caps for Norway.
