As Derby are our next league opponents, here's a copy of a home fixture team sheet against the Rams from 20 years ago.

City lost the game 2-0 in front of just over 12,000 fans which left us sitting 23rd in the table. We ended the season in 16th, Derby finishing 4th.

I remember this game.

Was it a midweek game?

Not a bad line up and we had spent a few bob by the standards of those days putting that side together. I think that we were forced to sell a lot of those by the end of the season as we faced a financial meltdown. Thorne, Kavanagh, Collins, Gabbidon, Mcnuff were all sold. Dave Jones came in next season and completely rebuilt the side.

Didn't Lee Bullock score quite an important goal towards the end of that season that helped us get to safety?

I got a feeling he scored at Ipswich at the end of the season to get us a draw. Not sure if that was the game.
