I know you said it's part of the game but in reality only accomplished footballers can play it without getting punished. To be more accurate, I'm talking about goalkeepers passing to a marked man in their own penalty area, surely the height of stupidity. If this ploy had been devised by anyone other than Pep, they would have been laughed out of town.

Accomplished players make mistakes aswell even alyson is prone to errors ...its knowing when not to do it that's the skill of playing out... one incident last night he recieved ball back and had two options boot it or pass it to a player surrounded by 4 turks he chose pass! Did Plenty more risky passes besides this.... Good teams doing it move forward quickly step by step city do it as slow as possible within own half don't need wide players as never use them particularly in 1st half of games. Our Only goal this season scored with 4 passes from our penalty area.

Aged 31, played 99 club games. Gives me the shivers every time he has the ball at his feet.

When I was a kid even in training u would 100%be doing laps for passing across your own penalty box that was a big sin of the game

Peacock-farrell did similar to ward tonight and it cost n.ireland a goal and lose 1-0
