LUTON TOWN SIGN EX CHELSEA ‘FREE AGENT’

Tue Sep 10, 2024 4:16 pm

Free agent Victor Moses joins Luton

Premier League winner Victor Moses has joined Luton on a free transfer.
The 33-year-old was most recently with Spartak Moscow, but left the club in the summer following three years in Russia.
Moses began his career with Crystal Palace, before moving on to Wigan and then Chelsea, where he won the Premier League after a successful transition to a wing-back under Antonio Conte in 2017.

Luton manager Rob Edwards said: “Victor is one we’ve been talking to for quite a while. He trained with us last week and played 60 minutes in a behind closed doors game, and we made a decision because we think he’s able to come in and help us.

“He gives us more strength in depth and versatility, because he’s someone who can play both sides or as a number ten.

“He’s played for so many different clubs in different ways and shapes, and under different managers, so he’s tactically aware. We think he’s someone who can provide some really good competition for us
."

Moses will wear No 7 for the Hatters.

And here’s another one…

Fleck signs for Chesterfield

Former Sheffield Utd man John Fleck has signed for League Two outfit Chesterfield after leaving Blackburn.
The deal will run until the end of the season and the player has admitted he's "delighted" to to finally put pen-to-paper on a short-term deal after taking part in training.

I’m delighted to be here," he said. "I’ve been training here for just over a week and the opportunity has come up to sign until the end of the season, so I’m really happy.

“It’s been great to just get back in amongst the training group so I’m really looking forward to it
.”

I’m not saying either would be one we would want or would come but it just goes to show they are out there…! :ayatollah:

Another Free Agent -

Liam Cooper's summer-long transfer saga has finally come to an end, after the former Leeds United captain's move to Bulgarian club CSKA Sofia was announced on Wednesday.

The centre-back had spent the last few months training with multiple clubs in the Championship, including Hull City, and had been linked with moves to Blackburn Rovers, Derby County and the Tigers themselves.

However, after failing to agree personal terms with Hull, it looks as though his playing career in England is over for now.

Since then, he has been working on a deal with CSKA Sofia, and has signed for the club on a two-year deal. His new team are currently second bottom in the Bulgarian First League, having won just one game this season.

But, with Cooper's vast experience, they will be hoping for an improvement following his arrival, and will want to march up the division in the coming weeks.
