Over the summer, the Rams made the acquisition of midfielder Ebou Adams on a permanent basis, following his successful loan last season.

The side have also brought in centre-back Nathaniel Phillips, who spent last term in the Welsh capital.

On their way to promotion in the 2023/24 season, former City trio Curtis Nelson, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and James Collins all played integral roles.

Winger Mendez-Laing was nominated for the League One Player of the Season at the end of last campaign.

Following his departure from the Bluebirds, goalkeeper Rohan Luthra has also joined Derby County.

DERBY COUNTY FC:

A minute's applause will be held ahead of kick-off at Pride Park this weekend, in memory of Sol Bamba, who sadly passed away last month at the age of 39.

Bamba will forever be a club legend of Saturday's opponents Cardiff City, where he made a total of 118 appearances and won promotion to the Premier League in 2018.

DERBY COUNTY MANAGER PAUL WARNE: “ INJURY UPDATE “

Derby County have had players away on international duty:

Paul Warne: “This season is a learning curve for us and we are just getting use to the Championship.”

Manager Paul Warne has provided an update on his Derby County squad following the September international break.

Four members of the first-team squad travelled across the world to link up with their respective nations - Guatemala’s Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Gambia’s Ebou Adams, Sweden’s Jacob Zetterström and Zimbabwe’s Tawanda Chirewa

“We have had injuries and a few are slowly coming back, thankfully those that went away on international duty are all arriving back today and tomorrow.”

Speaking to RamsTV, Warne said: “Kane Wilson will join the group today [Thursday], Ben Osborn has trained all week.

“He’s [Osborn] been unfortunate with injuries over the last couple of years, he’s a full-energy midfielder and he covered over 12km against Middlesbrough, which was more than anyoneon the pitch.

“We have to get the best version of him and we have to manage the players as well as we can.

“Corey Blackett-Taylor is looking really good so there is a lot of positive signs.

“Jake Rooney is a little bit further off, but he’s progressing nicely.”

The boss will also be able to call upon Nat Phillips and Marcus Harness for the first time, who will both be available for the first time since their deadline-day arrivals on loan.

On Harness, Warne explained: “He’s settled in straight away.

“Nat – I knew he would fit in and they are prepared for the battle ahead.”

Out of Derby’s four senior internationals, Warne confirmed that three will be available to face the Bluebirds at the weekend.

He said: “Tawanda has suffered a concussion so he’ll miss the next two.

“Nat is fine, Jacob is fine and Ebou is fine.”

Cardiff City boss Erol Bulut has revealed that Aaron Ramsey is out of Saturday's trip to Derby County.

“We don’t know how serious it is yet.”

The Wales captain started Friday's clash with Turkey at the Cardiff City Stadium, and came on after 80 minutes for during Monday's win over Montenegro, but has returned to the capital carrying a suspected hamstring injury.

The 33 year old is set to miss the upcoming clash with the Rams, with Bulut admitting he's not totally sure about the severity of the midfielder's latest injury setback.

"We will miss him for Derby," Bulut said when previewing the upcoming trip to Pride Park.

"The last national game, he played 20 minutes (against Montenegro) and felt a little bit on his hamstring, so that's why he has to take a little bit of time.”

"I hope it's not something serious."

Pressed on a possible timeline for Ramsey's latest injury, Bulut added: "I know only from our medical staff that he played the national game and after that he was feeling a pain on his hamstring.

"Now we have to wait to get the full report but he will not be with us on Saturday

Honesty here:

Ramsey should 100% be let go as a player at the end of the season.

We are paying him a fortune for an injury prone player and past his sell by date.

He has so far failed for us.

Should not have played for Wales if he was not 100% fit as Bulut is saying

"I don't accept that. I think it was unfair that I got a red card without doing anything. I didn't touch anybody, I didn't say any bad words about anybody.“

"I get touched and pulled, nobody from the opposition gets punished."

"We will all be together on the phone," he said. "I will try to help my guys from the director's box.“

What's the bet the changes he's talking about will be mentally not physically. In other words he will say that the players mind set are more attacking focused rather than changing the players to more faster flowing attacking players.
Eg
Goutas will comeback in for daaland. Cowill be on bench with sio Robertson and either ralls/ turnbull or rino

Cardiff City manager Erol Bulut has revealed that Ebou Adams pushed for his move to Derby County this summer and said it was not "the best way" for the Bluebirds to try to keep him.

Adams sealed a permanent move to Derby in the summer having played a key role in their promotion to the Championship while on loan last season.

Derby eventually made a breakthrough for the Gambian in the summer as they paid around £500,000 to secure his signature.

Adams looks like he will be a key player again for Paul Warne's side this summer having scored in the 2-1 defeat at Watford and he was excellent in the 3-0 victory over Bristol City before the international break.

Asked about Adams, who has quickly become a huge favourite at Pride Park, Bulut said: "Ebs did well last season over there and he wanted to leave.

"When a player wants to leave or go away, it's not the best way to try to keep him because their head is somewhere else. He had a good season. I wish him good luck, but not for Saturday."
