Aaron Ramsey injured again and waiting to see how Serious

Thu Sep 12, 2024 2:24 pm

Cardiff City boss Erol Bulut has revealed that Aaron Ramsey is out of Saturday's trip to Derby County.

“We don’t know how serious it is yet.”

The Wales captain started Friday's clash with Turkey at the Cardiff City Stadium, and came on after 80 minutes for during Monday's win over Montenegro, but has returned to the capital carrying a suspected hamstring injury.

The 33 year old is set to miss the upcoming clash with the Rams, with Bulut admitting he's not totally sure about the severity of the midfielder's latest injury setback.

"We will miss him for Derby," Bulut said when previewing the upcoming trip to Pride Park.

"The last national game, he played 20 minutes (against Montenegro) and felt a little bit on his hamstring, so that's why he has to take a little bit of time.”

"I hope it's not something serious."

Pressed on a possible timeline for Ramsey's latest injury, Bulut added: "I know only from our medical staff that he played the national game and after that he was feeling a pain on his hamstring.

"Now we have to wait to get the full report but he will not be with us on Saturday

Lets look at positives! This could be a great opportunity for Ruben, to show what he can do and if he's ready for a permanent place at no 10. However, if he gets picked or not is another matter?

Very true, if Bulut plays him the whole game .

I reckon this will be one of this Cardiff injuries we got all of last year where it will be dragged along with vague timelines promising a return and actually we won’t see him for months. Time for colwill in the 10 please god!

The best ability is availability. Ramsey is gone, sadly.

Very ott reaction... he didn't come off injured he was on at end game! he's got sore hamstring not worth risking him Saturday let's wait to see before you lot put him on scrap heap ..... don't hear other players being written off having missed more games than him this season. :o

I agree allan

I think what fans recognise he puts more of a shift in for wales and especially when thete' s a wales game coming up he eases off on the club game almost to save himself for the international
or that could be just my take on it.ha ha.

Monty, might just be that it looks that way because he's played in his best position when he plays for Wales.

Always been a huge fan of Ramsey still am.I am left frustrated with the fact he hasn't retired from international football. They say a player knows when it's right and I admire his belief in himself.
Issue is the injuries that have been happening to him for a long while now
I think he has to consider his future with Wales as it just seems to much for him now.
I hate saying this. from the first time I saw him play I was a fan always will be but is enough enough.
He's done more than enough for wales who are in transition now under Bellamy. It must be hard because he is so passionate about club and country we love him for that .
No shame in calling it time with Wales and concentrating on Cardiff City.

Bit harsh monty seeing as he's played 4 games for city and one and 20mins for Wales! What's obvious is bellers knows how to get best out of him whilst bulut hasn't a clue..

Allen always the same nowadays, something else to moan about, just what the hell is wrong with people, not happy unless they are moaning about something :banghead:

Roger
midweek was his 6th active game this season for someone past it blah blab blah
That's not a bad stat! Hopefully it is just a precaution not playing him Saturday .... mind you bringing him on for 20mins in those conditions was unnecessary...

What I am not understanding is the delay in giving fans an update to how long could be out? Other teams seem to announce things couple days after injury announced! Could it be he's having his scan on nhs so have to wait couple months to have one.?
