Addicted to the pain - remember what’s in our control

Mon Sep 16, 2024 10:22 am

As someone that’s used to Cardiff being rubbish I find myself addicted to the struggle. I’d much rather a relegation battle than mid table mediocrity, as mad as that sounds.

Just booked up for Bristol away, my first proper league game since West Ham in the playoffs before Tan ripped the heart out of my club.

I think it’s a welcome reminder that we are supporters. Let’s stick to what we can control, supporting the team, following them and getting behind them as much as we can.

It’s the hope that kills you and I can’t wait to see us pick up our first league win against our rivals

I'd much rather know we are safe than be in a relegation battle.

As I'm getting older I'm not as robust as I used to be.

I still like to chase a buzz wherever I can haha and a goal that means something (like Kipre at Rotherham), that buzz can’t be beaten.

I think those of us of a certain age remember the 70s when we bounced between the old div 2 & 3, relegated one year & promoted the next with the high of being promoted more than outweighing the desperation of being demoted. Like you say though with age comes wanting to be more settled.

There's nothing like the buzz of Cardiff City.

Had my problems with drink and drugs. They said you can't replace that buzz.

But I can tell you that going to football games is better. I'll be there in Saturday, at Hull and at Bristol.

Same mate (alcohol for me) and no high lasts longer than a last minute winner. In fact I can still summon the feeling of the Chopra winner v Swansea to this day

As a swansea fan im waiting for the inevitable relegation battle. A club our size are a league one/championship club therefore us dropping into league one is only a matter of time. Unless the stars align again

Very honest statement that.

Even under your present regime my money would be on you lot surviving more than us this season.
