Are two completely different things.
It is my opinion that those managers like Nathan Jones are just a fans dream, and not on the radar of Tan.
For Nathan Jones, we would have to pay compensation to Charlton. Tan isn't going to want to do that when there are managers out there where he won't have to spend a penny apart from Wages.
Sadly, what us fans want and what Tan will want, don't align

We wants a good manager and a good squad. That will cost of which Tan is not willing to pay for.
Going a bit further into costs I feel Tan is quite comfortable with the FFP. Thats £11m he can waste a season. Sounds ok that but the problem we have is half of that is paying for 2 big loans. So we have £5m to spend. That spend seems to be going on the other clubs and not us. Why that is you need to ask Tan himself.
Bottom line here is Tan wants Championship survival why we want Premier football. I don't believe we are going to get that with Tan now and the best we can expect is Championship survival. Events of late have put that at risk due to a lack of football noose upstairs.
To get what we want we need to take one step at a time. The first step is obvious to me.

I feel he wants us sitting mid table untill someone comes in to buy us, it's clear he don't want to stay anymore
It's painful for us to sit back and watch it to, so much potential with very little ambition
