Warnock wouldn’t be such a bad thing! Not permanently but who’s the best at getting extra out of players in the short term?
Any new manager can’t change the players till Jan, and even then only if Tan releases some money - very unlikely!
Need a manager who can motivate and get more out of what’s already there! Getting some team spirit, dressing room together mentality, fight for each other!
What would be so wrong with giving Warmock till Jan? Need to get points on the board and fast, none of this crap about there’s still 40 games still to play!

Nope

Ok fine so instead let’s appoint a young promising up and coming manager who can’t bring any new type of players in till Jan, if we’re lucky he might have managed 2or 3 lucky wins by then and we’ll be bottom by only 15points! Great idea!

Or just go back to years ago and bring in all of Warnocks trusty old players who are either retired or pushing 40 now. Great idea by yourself also.

I don't think so either, but he might help in some capacity as an adviser to Riza, or to Dalman and Tan to help in the new Manager selection, he is the closest thing they have to and experienced football man.

How exactly would he be able to bring in all his old players? Transfer window closed until Jan incase you didn’t realise. If you are talking about free agents then that’s all that will be available to the ‘young and up and coming manager’ too, with his/her vast network of contacts they’ve already built up.
I didn’t say permanent appointment I said he could be an option UNTIL JAN!

So let's change manager yet again in January?
Brilliant, let's make it a complete merry-go-round of managers coming and going

Maybe with 6 games to go & needing to get out of trouble but not 6 games into the season.

Don't be silly.
Leave the old guy to enjoy a well earned retirement!

People are remembering the Warnock that got us promoted.
But there are things they aren't remembering.
Our start to the season when we came back down to the Championship, offered nothing.
He failed at Middlesbrough.
Walked out on Aberdeen early because it wasn't going well.
This squad is completely unsuited to his tactics. It would be unlikely to work.
So he's just not an option and doubt he's even in the club's thinking, rightly so for these reasons and others.

Sums it up very nicely.

I am, it seems, in the minority on this forum in agreeing with you. There is so much revisionist history written about Warnocks style of play and his final few months at the City. Yes we weren't performing and were only mid tableish but it was only erly November and we were hardly miles away from a challenge. It was Tans trigger happy tendency and ingratitude that caused him to go. The side he built on coming down wasn't that bad. Harris got them to the to play offs that year and virtually everyone of the players was a Warnock signing. To me if there is no outstanding candidate it makes sense for Warnock to take charge and sort out the mess until Christmas while we look for a suitable replacement
