Stake your claim for full-time job?

“I thought this would come up! I have worked really hard. I had a really good playing career,”

“ I played for 17 years. I’ve been managed by some great coaches, Don Howe, Arsene Wenger, Harry Redknapp, not to mention the coaches I’ve played under abroad. Culturally, I have learnt a lot as a coach. As a coach, I have worked in academy football, with youngsters and players throughout the leagues. I have worked non-League, grassroots, a first-team coach, head coach at Leyton Orient.”

“ I’ve done the groundwork and I’ve worked really hard to get to this point. I’m ready to take on whatever challenges are in front of me.”

Did you think this could happen you being the manager?

I never like to go into any environment thinking this would happen. Obviously it can. I gave my best for Erol and unfortunately we didn’t get the results. Some games we have been unlucky, especially early on at the start of the season. There is never that thought, but I’m getting to the point in my career now, where, if you do get the opportunity you are ready to take it. I’m certainly ready for that. Hopefully we will see the fruits of that at the weekend.

What’s it like as interim, do you change much?

We’ve not had the results we’ve wanted so there has to be a certain element of change. Whether that’s the players or the system. That approach, this week we have worked on it so there is a change at the end of the week. We always know when things like this happen there is an element of a bounce back from the players. They’ve all been buoyant and front-footed in terms of coming forward for information. The energy has been really high. Training sessions have been motivated, we are in a good place.

We have heard this all before, if we start ripping teams apart and we keep getting 3 then I'm all for it but what's the chances of that?

I'd keep him in charge untill a quality proven manager comes in

Riza

That's great to hear and what I hoped would happen with the players, Bulut's gone and everyone is eager to get going again, working hard and giving opinions etc.

This squad is much stronger than most on here think and I'm going to say we will win Saturday and Tuesday and go from strength to strength.

Riza talks well and I hope he's successful with us. Good luck to him :bluescarf:

Doesn't surprise me anymore. Can't remember the last time anything written on Wales online was worth paying attention to

I thought you always gave new managers 12 games. I know he's only interim but surely he deserves time to show what he can do.

Mike,

He’s not a New Manager, he’s part of Bulut’s team and has Never Managed a Professional Club.

It’s not his fault, I am saying NO Thank you.

Of course I hope he does well. But this is more Cheap / unprofessional Shite from the Regime and We’ve been down this road for to many years.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

WE HAVE THREE CLOWNS AT THE TOP & NOW THREE MORE WITH THE TEAM.

WE ARE A CHAMPIONSHIP CLUB

NOT A NON LEAGUE CLUB

I agree about the regime, completely useless and who knows what they are thinking regards a new manager but that's not Riza's fault. I think he'll do well but mainly cos the squad is too good to be bottom of the league and the players will now feel the shackles are off.

I do agree with most of your posts but I think it's a bit harsh to call Riza and his current assistants clowns. They may turn out to be but they deserve a chance. As I said it's not their fault they've found themselves in this situation and I'm feeling more positive now than I have for nearly a year.

I'd agree about the Clowns comment for Riza and Ramasut, not so much with Purse.

Riza could turn out to be a saviour. At this point in time we just don't know.

Purse though doesn't deserve to be near the 1st team, and he is a clown.

I tell you what results mean everything if he gets three wins before international break he will get the job
I think we have a good team just needs a system that’s suits them and they will get results no doubt yes I prefer Schumacher as our next manager 100 per cent but with football we don’t always get what we want!!!

No, and the only reason I say no is that it hasn't worked previously. It's not personal; if he's as good as a coach as we think, then he'll be ok maintaining his position as a coach.

IF he then slots into when we sack the next manager about April and then wins another 3... I'd consider.

Could be Pep in there, with the donkeys we have up front we couldn't hit a barn door with a shovel. :bluebird:

Not saying that our strikers are world beaters by any means but I cant think of that many good chances that have been created by our midfield or wingers :?:
