Toxic positivity.

Sat Sep 28, 2024 4:14 pm

It shows how bad it is when a shot on target is being lauded as a step in the right direction by fans. Is that how low our standards and expectations have slipped?

We lack any players with character, basic footballing skills and most of all heart. We are in big big trouble and we can try and be as positive as we like but the league table shows the hard FACTS.

We are in desperate trouble and I don’t see any way out.

It's 7 games. We are not double digit points from safety yet. Sheff Wed and QPR survived from similar positions last year. A new experienced manager is needed ASAP. First job is instill discipline and make us hard to beat. Take draws etc and go from there.

If I had any faith in us appointing such a manager I’d agree. I don’t so we are heading to League One

Take draws? We need 15+ wins to stand a chance of surviving. Thats just under 50% of the remaining games. Scary is it not?

And that line there is the key. We have zero faith in our decision maker who has zero knowledge. The players look beaten and have a losing mentality, the new season signings that had the deluded on here predicting top 6 have been poor (Daaland Robertson and Fish aside) we are going down

It starts with not getting beat. Its 7 games. We are only 5 points from safety right now. Happily take 0 v 0 on Tuesday and build some confidence. We have to stop the rot now.

We havent won a league game since mid April, two wins in a row since early March. Christmas decorations are now in shops. I am beyond scared.

That side had a better defence. This side has a rotting losing mentality set in, we need a miracle to avoid a relegation battle. And we have a clown at the wheel watching our games in another continent who hasnt spoken directly to us in years. And if he did he would blame the Cornelius transfer. Ill be there for Millwall, full voice, but i really think we need to direct our pain and fears towards the owner but united unlike the red fiasco.

I only just read this and said something very similar on the post match thread. Championship (UK) football isn't just about skill and tactics board, heart and guts still play a massive role and that's what we are missing.

We’ve not had it for years mate. The displays against Swansea show that. Bunch of mercenaries.

How many of us thought we had a good squad?

Shows how much we know.

Spot on.

Hoofball, anti-football, manager carousel, near relegations, clueless board, lifeless crowds.

Cardiff City is a shadow of what it used to be.

Some of my favourite memories were the Dave Jones days and prior. Sure we kept missing out but it was always great to watch games, the atmosphere was great, and there was always optimism.

The club needs its soul back. Tan sucked it right out.

Warnock brought great days to me since he has left when we were 7th in the league and been fighting relegation since he left
and I do not blame the managers they had no support from the idiots in charge.

Dalman & Choo's bullshit has run out and we as supporters have to suffer as they are big money millionaires who will move on to rip someone else off the players will just do whatever move on but on their money why will they worry, no its us supporters who have to watch this bunch of rubbish show no love for Cardiff City they are all to blame not just the managers.

Not me.

It will never be up to it until we get a striker in.

You didn’t expect us to be in the relegation zone prior to the season starting. You thought we would do better than last season as the players we brought in were better.

That was wishful thinking on my part, more hope than anything.

Hence why I said about a striker.

Fair enough. Or what you predicted.

There was no one who predicted we would be where we are now. Completely unexpected.

Start of the season everyone was positive and going on about their excitement for the new season.

It’s all result based. There will be tonnes of people who will be saying I’ve had enough now cos of Tan.

If anyone said that at the start they would have got jumped upon.

I mentioned a few times our squad is not good enough and was waiting for the knocking. Then I realised he does not follow us anymore.
