Cardiff City XI: Alnwick; Ng, Chambers, Goutas, Bagan; Robertson, Ralls; Tanner, Colwill, El Ghazi; Robinson.

Subs: Horvath, Kpakio, Collins, Rinomhota, Turnbull, Willock, Ashford, Meite, Kanga.

INJURY NEWS:

Cardiff hope Siopis and Goutas will return

Cardiff hope duo Manolis Siopis and Dimitrios Goutas will return for tomorrow night's game against MIllwall.

Goutas went back to Greece for family illness.

Siopis had a slight injury

JESPER DALAND BACK IN LIGHT TRAINING

Isaak Davies is out till beginning of December.

And it’s Cardiff City’s worst start in almost 100 years. The lowest goals scored in all divisions and most conceded.
If you can't defend+can't score=long season and if continues their will be NO stopping City going down.

Club Connections

Neil Harris is the obvious name having managed both clubs.

Rival Players

Joe Bryan spent many years at our Severnside rivals Bristol City.

The Opposition's Manager

Neil Harris is no stranger to us, having been our manager between 2019 and 2021.

He returned to Millwall for his second spell in charge in February, having previous been manager there between 2015 and 2019 - as well as being caretaker manager several times before that.

He is a club legend with Millwall having also made 374 appearances for them as a player.

Opposition Dangerous Players

Macauley Langstaff has one goal in the Championship this season but has scored at least 25 in the last three seasons - albeit at a lower level.

Romain Esse is a player I rate very highly.

Head To Head

We have won only won one of our last five games against Millwall, with them winning the other four.

Our win in that time was the 1-0 home win last season, although they beat us 3-1 in the reverse fixture towards the end of the season.

Team News - Predicted Line-Ups

Cardiff City: Alnwick, Ng, Chambers, Fish, Collins, Ralls, Robertson, Colwill, El Ghazi, O’Dowda, Robinson

Millwall: Jensen, Leonard, Tanganga, Cooper, Bryan, Saville, De Norre, Honeyman, Esse, Watmore, Langstaff

Last Game

We lost 4-1 away at Hull on Saturday.

On the same day, Millwall won 3-1 at home to Preston.

Match Odds

Cardiff City - 7/4
Millwall - 6/4
Draw - 23/10

Until tuesday, they'll love coming here. nothing will change, club is infested with yes men top to bottom and amongst hangers on in the supporters, sadly it's going to get far worse before anything better.

Harris will come back with a point to prove.

I've lost my optimism now and Believe that we are in free fall.

I don't think we will turn it around.

Could be 1-0 Millwall or could be 5-0 Millwall.

Anyone betting on us getting something is a brave person.

The club and players have shown nothing to us to think other wise. We are all on a wing and prey that we might have something to cheer about.

I'd snap your hand off for a point but think Millwall will want it more so not at all confident.

Millwall winger Femi Azeez is a doubt for Tuesday’s Championship match at Cardiff City.

The summer signing from Reading missed yesterday’s 3-1 victory over Preston North End.

The Lions will have depleted attacking options for the fixture in Wales with Josh Coburn and Tom Bradshaw both injured while Aidomo Emakhu is suspended after his red card at the weekend.

“Femi got a whack in the U21s game on Tuesday at Calmont,” said Millwall head coach Neil Harris. “He trained yesterday (Friday) but came off early. He got through the first half hour, so he isn’t a million miles away.

“Tuesday – not sure. Certainly for West Brom I’d be hopeful he will be back.

Wouldn't like to call it tbh, we seem completely unfit, uninterested. Ng needs a spell in the U21s, Ralls out, Cannot really say anything positive apart give Reindorf a run out and see what he's got against a tough old Millwall side as always. :bluebird:

Millwall play a fast game and “on the deck”. Under Harris they “play football” .

They are not going to be playing crosses to tall strikers to head the ball ….our defenders must be able to defend on the deck . I am not sure that we are very good if the opposition are trying to pass around them …on the deck.

The term you are looking for is, "Headless Chickens" when the ball is on the deck. :bluebird:

Millwall attacker Emakhu hit with three-game ban for sending off in Preston North End win

Aidomo Emakhu will serve a three-match suspension for his red card in Millwall’s 3-1 defeat to Preston North End.

The Republic of Ireland U21 international had been booked by referee Darren Bond, after the youngster went down after taking the ball past Liam Lindsay.

But Emakhu was then sent off by Bond after angrily confronting Robbie Brady, who appeared to dig a small kick into the former Shamrock Rovers striker as he got back up off the turf.

Millwall have not appealed the decision and Emakhu will start his ban tomorrow night at Cardiff City. He will also miss the matches at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday and the home fixture against Derby County on October 19.

Watmore is the one I'm worried about.

5 goals already this season, will be relishing the opportunity against out weak defence.

He could literally have a field day.

Wez,

We need a Win without a doubt, Millwall have not won an away game.

But if we win it will only paper over the cracks.

The league table does not lie or our start to the season.

We are not here by bad luck.
