If he did go off with a hamstring injury that’s another one down in the centre half area. I posted a week ago and said the reasons for these injuries is that they don’t warm up hard enough prior to the start of a game unlike rugby teams. We just do a few gentle exercises and pass the ball around and then when the game starts they have to sprint and that’s when the pressure comes on the hamstrings and groins. It’s not bloody rocket science. But of course I know our sport department know better. How many injuries have we had so far this season?

We had a rugby fitness coach a few seasons ago. Didn’t seem to change fitness or injuries from memory.
For years we seem to be lacking fitness and conditioning across the squad.

Painters keep going and have great stamina, maybe the resident Tan relative should take fitness sessions, been expected to have a job for life at the club, has he sold hot dogs yet :laughing6:

Speaking after that match, Cardiff City interim boss Omer Riza said: “We’ve got a good group of players, all honest and hard working but the issue we have at the moment is not being able to get all of the players through the game.

“We’ve had to make substitutions early, Will Fish with his hamstring, we’ve got other injuries, we’ve got other players coming back from injury who can’t get through 90 minutes, we’ve got players who at times have had injuries through their careers who we have to manage and look after.

“Will had a slight strain before the game we needed to manage and he felt a little tweak there, we will have to assess it. Callum O’Dowda has put in a big shift and we have to manage him as well.”

For me there are big question marks against the fitness team, some of the team also look like they are not as fit as they should be and can’t sustain the intensity to press that is required.
