Omer Riza:

“Bristol City”

“All games are tough in the Championship, everyone knows that,” Omer . “It’s another game where we will get the boys up for it. It’s a big game,.”

“it’s an important game, but every game is important, and we want to try and approach every game in the same way. “

“We will obviously try and win it, but if we don’t win it, then we don’t want to lose it, we must not lose it.”

“ We’ll prepare for it, and we will go in with the same energy and mentality and hopefully pick up the three point.”

Stoke have a defence worse than ours! Allow Portsmouth player to run from halfway then allow another player acres of space while 4 players not in any position to stop him scoring... 1-1

Watching the Wurzels tonight they all run well with the ball,
the 2 wingers both tricky and quick but bit weak infront of goal so far

Both sides poor really score shows how bad and why portsmouth haven't won a game.....stoke done nothing to get 6 goals mostly over the top balls... or run with no tackling to stop shots

Liam Manning has hit back after boos from some Bristol City fans rang around Ashton Gate at full-time. And the Robins boss believes the criticism was "unjust" with City unlucky not to come away with all three points against Sheffield Wednesday.

There were murmurings and boos which met referee Anthony Backhouse’s full-time whistle as the Robins couldn’t knock down the resilient Owls defence, with the contest finishing 0-0 under the lights at BS3.

The point leaves the Robins 13th in the Championship standings having picked up 10 points from their opening eight games of the season.

It's going to be a tight game. The players confidence will have had a boost after Tuesday and I think we'll keep improving each game. My head says a draw but my heart says we'll win by a single goal.

C'mon Bluebirds :bluescarf:

Liam Manning and Omer Riza both have to contend with injuries ahead of Sunday’s Severnside Derby clash.
Bristol City hope to enter the international break with some bragging rights as they host Cardiff City in the Severnside Derby on Sunday, October 6.

Atkinson hasn't made a competitive appearance for the first-team since February 2023, when he suffered an ACL injury. He did make an appearance for the under-21s in the week however. Dickie on the other hand had a serious tear of the muscle, and should be out until around November.

Sam Bell suffered a hamstring injury against Coventry City in the Carabao Cup in the middle of August. He’s another player that Manning is unable to call upon.

Out: Ayman Benarous, Rob Dickie, Rob Atkinson, and Sam Bell.
