Why did Riza change formation we were on top?
We were totally on top
Battering then.
That’s his inexperience

Exactly just been saying exactly same. We were comfortable and now he's made it pressure after pressure
Sun Oct 06, 2024 3:42 pm
Inexperience yes plus I'd say bottling it and not trusting his attacking players!
Sun Oct 06, 2024 3:42 pm
Absolute nonsense, thought exactly the same thing. Why?!!!
Sun Oct 06, 2024 3:43 pm
We were running them ragged
We need an experienced Championship Manager ASAP
Sun Oct 06, 2024 3:44 pm
We looked like getting a 2nd
Sun Oct 06, 2024 3:45 pm
Thought the same thing.
For as long as I can remember City have always been the same. Be on top, controlling the game, then either change things when we score or sit back and chuck 10 men behind the ball and invite pressure.
I don't get it.
Why not stick with what got us into a leading position
Sun Oct 06, 2024 3:51 pm
We should have taken the chances and put this game away then a stupid change of tactics and formation lets them take over the game and we concede
Sun Oct 06, 2024 3:55 pm
He's managed in the 7th tier what did you expect. Totally bizarre tbh
Sun Oct 06, 2024 3:59 pm
He killed the game for us with those changes
Sun Oct 06, 2024 3:59 pm
Gave them the green flag to go for it very poor decision.
Sun Oct 06, 2024 4:00 pm
Threw away a winnable game where we had the momentum.
Kanga on was like going down to 10 men.
Sun Oct 06, 2024 4:00 pm
That’s his application for the job in the bin!! Shown himself to go defensive and inexperienced. Thanks for the work and I wish him all the best but he’s definitely no championship manager for sure
Sun Oct 06, 2024 4:00 pm
Feels like 2 it's dropped. Bristol prob deserved a goal in the game but we should of had 2 or 3 and won.
Subs and formation change totally gimped us
Sun Oct 06, 2024 4:01 pm
At end day good result but can put draw down to the two sitters we missed..
Sun Oct 06, 2024 4:01 pm
Definitely sat back too early.
Didn't do his chances of getting the job much good.
Sun Oct 06, 2024 4:03 pm
Let’s be positive- would have taken a point before the start. 4 points from 3 games in the managers time.
Sun Oct 06, 2024 4:03 pm
Hopefully he will learn from this! this one change of direction may have just cost him his job. he was doing well, i like the attack attack attack. The trouble is when you sit back its like a turkey shoot for the other team.
Sun Oct 06, 2024 4:05 pm
Rizal scored there goal .I was impressed with everything about us until he went and invited them to score and they took the invitation. Totally changed the game and lost us 3 points so frustrating apart from that was pleased .we got to score are chances though haven't we
Sun Oct 06, 2024 4:10 pm
Two weeks to get a manager,he doesn't know what he was doing, cost ùs 2 points today with those ridiculous substitutions.
Sun Oct 06, 2024 4:13 pm
Those substitutions smacked of Purse interfeering to me... Shame as there was only on team going to win the game at that point and we played some lovely football in difficult conditions. Two weeks now to get a manager sorted
Sun Oct 06, 2024 4:21 pm
100% agree, today showed why he should not be given the job. His changes ruined the game for us.

Couldn’t agree more; and that might just have ended his chances, if he had any, of getting the job permanently…
If Karl-Heinz Rumourmunger is to be believed, Nigel Pearson and/or Alex Neil are now in the frame…
Not a ‘fan’ of either but I suppose they are Championship proven…
Sun Oct 06, 2024 4:25 pm
The mad thing is he changed it back and we got back on top. It was almost a mad experiment.
Sun Oct 06, 2024 4:25 pm
Let's face it even if we had won today some of the posters on here would criticising Riza. Really harsh comments. Some even claiming Purse was to blame for today. Ridiculous. Give Riza some credit. He's done really well this week and kept us only 3 points from the pack. Well done to him.

We haven't seen the guy break a sweat yet. Would rather us terminate his loan and go with what we've got. Just doesn't deserve to wear the shirt.

He's rubbish get rid and get experience in

More like defender (Colwill? )for not booting ball away instead of fannying around with it and get tackled by player who put cross in for goal ..,yes shouldn't have changed things but another failed clearance cost us and not for 1st time.
Sun Oct 06, 2024 6:44 pm
bullutt disease must be catching...to change formation while we was playing so well was criminal..and i was just singing his praises up to that point

It was O'Dowda who had the chance to clear instead of, as you say, fannying around with it.
