The manager dilema

Sun Oct 06, 2024 5:18 pm

4 points from 2 away and 1 home game.

We have some talent, we are not a well-drilled L1 promoted team hoping to grind it out, its about getting a system to suit them, rather than a predetermined this is how i play type

After Leeds, I was in the experienced, sergeant major, old school fixer, pragmatic, do not lose & dour camp.

Now i am drifting to someone who can build for next season as i believe we have enough to be safe if we get a name rather than a total rookie.

What are your thoughts?

First and foremost, we need someone to come in and get some wins.

I wouldn't write off the possibility of relegation because in reality, we have won one of eight games. There has been improvement but we are still bottom of the league.

If the incoming manager does well then they can stay and be part of building for the future.

But we can't think about building for the future before we know what league we will be in next season.

Schumacher still my first choice.

Schumacher is pretty inexperienced in championship terms, he would be the type of guy i am drifting to.

Last week i was Pearson, Mobrey or Rowett to get some shape into them and go short term fix.

Bit behind times ned! We are only where We are because of bulut nothing else... if had riza at beginning we would not be in same position... but do agree need a more championship savvy manager "Schumacher "... we've seen after just 3 games with different set up you can see we will not be in relegation trouble with squad we have and I've always said squad better than perceived because of bulut....

Not too sure I would be worried about building for next season before we're out of the shit we're in.

I think we need to think about what we would have do e in the 6 league games that bulit was in charge and think how many more points we would have had with riza in charge. I certainly think we'd have beaten the Jack's and also derby away but the other games I think the results would have been the same. Just goes to show what a tough start we had. onwards and upwards now, confident we'll finish mid table providing g we get a manager who knows how to use the players we have.
