The former SNP leader Alex Salmond has passed away suddenly, aged 69.
Salmond was giving a speech just this morning.
I can't say I agreed massively with his politics, particularly when it came to Scottish independence, but he is without doubt one of the most important politicians of the last 20 years.
Thoughts with his family and friends. RIP.
