:bluescarf: :bluescarf: “ OMER RIZA WILL UPDATE CARDIFF CITY FANS “ :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Omer Riza:

Riza is planning as though he will be in charge in the new year and has already begun to compile his own transfer strategy.

Looking for a new manager seems to have come to a halt, as the board feel their is no one that suits what they want any the moment.

"There's always conversations in respect of player contracts and transfer windows in January.”

“ It would be wrong of me not to do that," he added. "Because if I don't do that then it would be wrong of me, because if you fail to prepare then prepare to fail, we are planing for January with who should stay and who we want.”

Plymouth are bringing nearly 3,500 Fans

It’s pay on the day.

Omer Riza will continue to be Cardiff’s Interim Manager:

Omer Riza: “ I believe I am ready for the Job and I hope I have made Mr Tan happy.”

“I would like the job permanently.”

Riza has 2 home games now Plymouth and Portsmouth and should be looking for 6pts.

Omer Riza:

"It is really difficult to win games in the Championship, I know how difficult it is to win games in this league, especially in the position we are in. It’s frustrating and there is an element of pressure but that's what we're here for and we’re dealing with that in the right way.”

"The players are doing what is asked and performing well. Now, we need to take it to another level and it's getting to the point now where we’ll be difficult to beat.”

Injury Update:

Rubin Colwill has a bug and is ill.
Hopefully all ok for Saturday v Plymouth

INJURY UPDATE:

Siopis will be available.

Striker Isaak Davies is back in light training.

"Jesper [Daland] trained all week, so it was nice to see him back," Riza said. "He was training for a week but he's been getting through certain phases of his rehab, so he will be up for selection.”

Aaron Ramsey is back in light training.

Etete is out still, but back in training.

Isaak Davies will be back in November , he's started back running this week fantastic news

OMER RIZA:

Asked what is happening regarding the permanent job:

Omer Riza:

"I really don't know what to say about it," Riza said when asked about the lack of clarity and communication from the top over the ongoing manager search.

OMER RIZA:

"I’m very comfortable in what I’m doing, I’m happy, the players are happy, the proof of that is (evident) with whatever players you speak to. But we all know, if you lose a game... what's difficult for me is that we haven't won a game since before I took over and if I lose a game it's like, 'You're not good enough, you're too young, you haven't got enough experience. So I try to come away from that and do the best I can do - because that's not the case, but I understand where the fans are coming from.”

Omer Riza:

"The fans are frustrated, want clarity and I’m sure they’ll get it at some time. I can’t really over-elaborate on it because I don't really know myself. I’m just trying to do the best job I can and it is important to me the fans are happy. I'm hoping over this period they will be as happy as they can be with what we give them.”

“I always talk with Mr Tan, Ken (Choo) and Mehmet (Dalman). It's more about what we are doing, how we approach games. I do it off my own back so they know what we’re doing. It's like having a director of football who you speak to regularly, they feed back what they’re thinking and you listen to what they have to say respectfully.”

"The talks have been the same. 'How's it going? How's the players? How's the environment?' To me it's all the same, we are doing out job.”

Omer Riza:

"All I want them to be is sure we are doing everything we can do to make sure the team is in a good place to perform.”

“The pressure is always on to have to win. If you don’t it’s easy for people to say you’re not good enough or you've done something wrong.”

“ The flipside of that is if you win two games, then it's 'OK you've won against Plymouth and Portsmouth', without being disrespectful to them. 'He should have won them, it's an easy game for Cardiff', that’s how people may think. We know that's not the case, because every game in the Championship is as tough as the other.”

Worrying words. Riza is not the answer for us, even if he beats two poor teams - Plymouth and Pompey.

Obviously I hope he does win those games but I also hope they appoint someone with experience.

I tend to agree with you.

But if we’re holding out for Bilic in January and Riza averages 2 points a game, from now until then, surely Bilic becomes more of a gamble than Riza ?

Interesting times, but this time I’m in favour of patience and not taking the first decent “name” that says “yes”.
