Omer Riza: Riza is planning as though he will be in charge

Thu Oct 17, 2024 3:38 pm

Omer Riza:

Riza is planning as though he will be in charge in the new year and has already begun to compile his own transfer strategy.

Looking for a new manager seems to have come to a halt, as the board feel their is no one that suits what they want any the moment.

"There's always conversations in respect of player contracts and transfer windows in January.”

“ It would be wrong of me not to do that," he added. "Because if I don't do that then it would be wrong of me, because if you fail to prepare then prepare to fail, we are planing for January with who should stay and who we want.”

Worrying words. Riza is not the answer for us, even if he beats two poor teams - Plymouth and Pompey.

Obviously I hope he does win those games but I also hope they appoint someone with experience.

I'd rather him start planning it, and finding himself not in the managers position, than him finding himself in charge with no plan.

Seems sensible.

Actually that's a fair point.

Agreeing with you far too much than I'm comfortable with

Riza has played meite every game if he cannot see that he is not a super sub and why he does not look to the reserves?
that tells me everything i need to know not to give him my vote .

I wasn’t giving him my vote Monty.

I was simply saying that should the regime keep him in the job then at least he’s been sensible and prepared for it
