Corners

Corners should be the priority in training ahead of Saturday.

Plymouth are terrible at defending corners, they were near the bottom of the table last season when it came to defending corners.

And we scored more than any other team from set pieces (non penalty) last season in the Championship. In the top four leagues, only Arsenal scored more than us.

So let's target them on set pieces. We know that Goutas and Ng can be prolific in that area.

This season we have been really poor at set pieces.. considering we have NG and Goutas.. do we have a set piece coach?

Tony they lack any threat lot of them are aimed for same spot and to slow giving plenty of time to be cleared.. on occasions we've put in decent corners we've looked dangerous but Don't do it enough.

Corners have been a good source of goals for us in recent years, so I don't get why we have changed things so drastically when we aren't exactly great from open play.

Probably think we don't have ghe players to exploit them? We've always had aggressive defenders previously but now we got NG & Goutas although dangerous they lack physical presence of say Morrison flint or even McGuinness...... also the delivery as been indifferent and mostly easy to defend need to get back to being good at them because surprisingly we do get fair share of corners in most Games.

I don't think we have the players either. It's only Goutas who is any good I the air. That's why I worry defensively having Chambers at centre back. Bulut was building a team of neat and tidy footballers (or so they say anyway)...without the bite, heart and physicality.
