OMER RIZA:
“We’ve had a really good international break,” Omer began. “We’ve had a little bit of time off, the boys had some time to rest and refresh, because we had a few tough days before that, making sure that we have the numbers in the legs and we’ve got the work in tactically. We’ve had a good, dynamic week and all the boys are back in, working hard and it’s been intense.
“Kion [Etete] is training now. He’s been training every day. We’ve been monitoring him to make sure he’s not doing too much. He should be back in contention in the next week or two.
Isaak [Davies] and Rambo have been doing some running outside. They’re doing well. Rubin [Colwill] and Cian [Ashford] are both fine. We’ve been looking after Ash’s back and he’ll be back in training on Sunday, after the Plymouth game. The boys are all slowly getting back to full fitness."
Omer Riza:
The Bluebirds are set to play three games in a week like other clubs, starting with Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, before taking on Portsmouth and West Bromwich Albion.
“We’ve watched a lot of Plymouth. They’ve picked up points, especially at home. They’ve got a dynamic frontline and they can cause you problems if you don’t do things properly. We’ll be looking to apply our game and hurt them like we’ve hurt teams in the last few games. We’re looking to continue our run and win games.
“We want to go out and win every game - that’s got to be the approach, that’s football. You don’t go out there to lose or draw, you go out there to win. We’ve worked on a lot of stuff in possession, we’ve worked on a lot of stuff out of possession.
"We’ve done a lot of unit meetings, cluster groups, making sure that we’re working to get those fine details, and it’s been a joy. These next games now, we’ve got Plymouth, Portsmouth and West Brom, and like I said, the approach is to go out there and try to win every game. I think the boys are in a good place to do that."
