A bit of spite…..

Sat Oct 26, 2024 6:31 pm

I’m loving the new style of play, the attacking element has the city crowd excited again, and i think it will only get better the more they play it, in that i mean more clinical.

However has anyone else noticed there is a bit of spite back in the team, some of the tackles going in are old school, they are very much together and wont roll over or let a team bully them, arguably its the opposite of that.

It now seems that they are actually giving 100% to the badge, and not just picking up a wage as it seemed only a few weeks ago.

I can’t be the only one that has noticed it ?

Totally agree with this.

Tanner put in a couple of crunching tackles today as did the midfield, Chambers, O'Dowda and Ng.

There's nothing wrong with making the right fouls, it breaks the momentum of the opposition.

Turnbull also did a good job of delaying West Brom taking a free kickz without crossing the line that would have got him a yellow card.

Definitely a lot more battle in this team now.

Think NG takes it a bit to far must be 3 games now that he was in danger of being sent off? O final warning today and last week could easily gor red for kicking ball towards player... but living on edge is what gets results.

Agreed. The character seems to be back. We have been too soft for years and the stats backed that up with number of yellows, reds and fouls.

Nice to see, for me!

N G Was very unlucky to get booked against Plymouth as the ball was still in play at the time the ref didn’t blow until after

No it wasn't.

He initially gave a free kick to Plymouth because Tanner tripped Cissoko.

He then changed the free kick to us because of Cissoko's actions.

Ng deserved his yellow for kicking the ball at Cissoko.

Lucky not to be red. He knew what he was doing.

To a certain extent I love to see a bit of shithousery from one of our players.

At the same time, I’ve said multiple times this season that he needs to focus on his football. He has not been the same player this year as the last two, and he’s very close to the line that will leave us with 10 men.

I think if Cissoko had rolled around on the floor after he kicked the ball at him instead of retaliating then Ng probably would have been sent off.
