We need this week's break

A week until our next game now with no game in midweek.

I think we need that extra rest time.

Each of the three games we've had over the last week have used a lot of energy.

We had a high intensity in our attack against Plymouth and Portsmouth. Today a lot of energy was used by defending for long periods.

I wasn't surprised that Colwill, Turnbull, El Ghazi and Tanner were all substituted today. They all looked dead on their feet - that's not their fault, they're not used to playing this many minutes. As time goes on, their stamina will improve.

So I think this week's rest will be good for our team and hopefully we can put in another strong home performance against Norwich.

Agree, they all looked shattered. A week's break / training will be good for us. We lack depth on the bench, hopefully those close to fitness will get back soon. The rest will do us good.

I think the correct subs have been made today and against Portsmouth.
Yes. Our bench was poor but on the whole he picked the best he had available and when their legs were going he swapped them out but didn’t change the system which was working well. Well managed.
