MY VIEW " A big opportunity missed tonight "

That was an opportunity to get a win, make no mistake about that.

We all saw how poor Luton are, they will be down the bottom all season.

They have one strength which is set pieces, which they scored from - maybe we didn't identify that, even though everybody knows it.

Siopis couldn't cope with the combative nature of the match and looked way out of his depth.

Chambers did well against Morris, he gets my vote for MOTM. Should have conceded a penalty but otherwise did well.

Meite probably our most effective player when he came on.

Colwill, El Ghazi, Tanner and Robinson all struggled to have an effect on the game.

A very disappointing result, because that game was there for the taking.

In fairness we defended well so I think it's clear we did identify but switched off for one with a great cross.

We looked tired going forward tonight but overall I think we deserved a draw.

Onto sat

Very poor performance.
I thought his substitutions were shocking.
New manager bounce has given us a lift .
Last 3 games we have been very poor

Now we have a chance let's line up a strong experienced manager

Worst performance so far this season against a poor Luton side who outplayed us passing was none existent don’t remember there keeper having to make a decent save long shots from half way line was only real chance we had one not to remember on to Saturday hopefully Robertson is fit and plays because we miss him

Inexcusable defending to gift them that free header for the goal.

Hopefully Robertson will be back Saturday and a chance to put tonight behind us

I doubt any mid championship club would take any of our attacking group and thats the problem, the championship is tight and you need to steal games through your forward talent. We have little.

We were bullied off the ball.

We did not look like scoring either..

Disappointing result.

Disappointed but not surprised, I predicted this would be a game too far. They're a horrible physical team- a bit like us a few years ago! They were absolutely desperate for three points and ground it out. No way will they be bottom 3. We couldn't get any width going tonight. Our set pieces were dreadful and El Ghazi has to be dropped. Quickly move on,. Really important to get a result against Blackburn. Robertson is needed back in that midfield.

Elghazi had our 2 vest opportunities and fluffed them , he was marking Briwn for the corner and let him get away....he offers nothing... wtf is Riza starting him
He is as stubborn as Bulut

Back to passing around the outside of the box rather than getting the ball into the box, we were our own worst enemy. Slow & ponderous tonight but you can't win em all.

A very Bulut performance.

Unbeaten run wasn't going to go on forever.

Just a bit surprised we didn't seem to expect a physical game when that's what Luton are all about.

It was safe and backward Bulut stuff. Possession stats are worthless, it just give commentators something to talk about

Ridiculous. First sign of defeat blame the manger and get rid of him. Very poor against Norwich. Really? Give your head a wobble.

I think we seen we need more squad depth, other then our starting 11 we struggle.

Boys will bounce back Saturday

Said during game we played around pen area no excuse for not putting it in area when had Kanga miete in box... but decision making poor regarding when to cross ball!
Sure riza will learn that to beat teams like Luton you need width and pace outwide to force them back we were are own worse enemy tonight.

Agree. A few days ago, Riza was being praised.

Can't now today say we need someone else based on one game.

Unbeaten run was going to end at some point - despite my disappointment tonight.

It's now about bouncing back on Saturday, that will be his next test.

Last 3 games have been poor !! Really!! What planet are you on. This was a tough run of 3 fixtures against sides who have very recently been in prem and around playoffs, 2 of those being away games.
To come out with 4 points and narrowly lose tonight to a set piece is very decent

We were poor tonight because Luton made us poor with their bullying and press ... we simply didn't know how to handle them partly because we had no effective forward uo take pressure of midfield ... another thing was anwick do people notice he stops when gets ball as if pondering what to do next then he passes which meant Luton were on to us quicker than should be... most keepers release ball quickly not anwick for some reason he just waits when it's unnecessary

i knew it would be tough tonight, they play route one football they are strong off the ball too

the pitch is tiny so not suited to our style of play

i don't think we were terrible but we wasn't quality either

onto blackburn now and hopefully robertson is back and fit!

My frustration is that we seemed unprepared for a physical match, as if it was a surprise to us. It shouldn't have been, that's what Luton are all about.

We also gave away far too many set pieces, the danger is known of Doughty's quality delivery from set pieces.

Like I said, I believe it's an opportunity to pick up more points missed because Luton are not a good team.

But this match will soon be forgotten if we beat Blackburn :bluebird:

I haven’t posted this because I didn’t want to be negative and we were playing so well and fair play the results and performances were brilliant under Riza. However you don’t hire an interim manager who gets results after a clearly very unpopular manager leaves. There is always a massive upturn in form and results, then the board hire them and the long season exposes the inexperience of the coach and they rarely last. There is a reason he has never managed anyone before. We give him the Blackburn game and whatever the result say thank you for the great results that have massively improved our chances of staying up and hire a manager with a track record and style of football we want. So many clubs have done this, got an interim in after a coach that the players hate leaves and fallen for the upturn. Riza has done really well and I’ve enjoyed it but we need a proper manager

Ned,

I totally agree, Luton are awful.
