Made luton look like real madrid going long and all over the place worse performance since bulut ,
and our bench shows how poor we are meite kanga ashford very very poor meite did do more than usual but we cannot change the game with that bench
Ga.e in my opinion was lost in midfield turnball siopis awful tonight.

No it wasn't. We didn't play well but it wasn't shocking. They ground out 3 points as they were desperate for it and will be no where near the bottom 3 at the end of the season. Horrible physical team and they did a job on our wide players really well. Odowda and Tanner silent tonight.

How would you describe it imo it was a shocking performace name me one player who played well for us tonight?

Name one apart from willock who played bad
Wed Nov 06, 2024 10:14 pm
Was a tough game but by no means shocking. Some fans so reactive
Wed Nov 06, 2024 10:16 pm
Complete over reaction. I get you’re disappointed but this is football. A tough ground to go to and if the header early on fell to Goutas instead of bloody El Ghazi it would have been a different game
Wed Nov 06, 2024 10:17 pm
El Ghazi fluffed our 2 vest chances and lost Brown for the goal..totally Ineffective
..O dowdy and Tanner kept quiet... Turnbull giving gball away numerous lyrics....Siopsis bullied off the balk agai . Colwill losing possession...

They were bottom 3 going into it..

Still a tough place to go, Edwards did a number on us. Made it a scrappy battle so we couldn’t play our natural game. We’ll go again Saturday

I don't think we'd score if we were still playing tomorrow.
Became clear to me after about 40 minutes that it wasn't a game for Colwill or Robinson, Luton had no problem dealing with them.
Not sure how El Ghazi stayed on the pitch for so long.
We seemed surprised it was a physical game which is strange, that's what Luton are all about.
Now about bouncing back on Saturday.

If i had travelled to that game tonight i would have been fuming there was no fighting spirit from anyone tonight and luton are a very poor side so i stick with it shocking,
praise when they do it well and i do,
give me a 5 out of 10 rating for any player tonight.

Overreaction. Luton didn’t looked like Madrid. They hardly threatened in open play. They are a massive threat from set plays and scored from one thanks to some shocking defending by Elghazi. Our front four were miles off it tonight after being great the past few games. Our bench is very weak. Disappointed in Willock. Kanga and Meite don’t look like will ever score. Thought the defence and Turnbull did their jobs well.Luton ground out the result. Type of performance we would put in under Warnock.

Monty, I think you’ve been blinded by the light of recent performances and results…
This was no way a (quote) ‘shocking!’ performance but it was ‘subdued’ by recent performances; but if we had converted a couple of early chances, we would have gone on to win the game…
I’m not sure you would be saying the same had we sneaked it 1 - 0
Thu Nov 07, 2024 7:12 am
Not sure how you can call it a shocking performance.
Overall it was a poor game, Luton like I’ve said on other threads are in a false position in the league.
They are a physical team who did what they needed to, in order to keep our creative players quiet.
We aren’t great away from home, our record shows that.
Just because we’ve had a good run these last few games, doesn’t mean that all performances are going to be at that level, and it doesn’t make a drop off in performance a ‘shocking performance’

Name me 1 player who had a good game out of 11 players with the possible exeption of perry ng maybe you could pass that off as a possible 50% but to have the whole team playing that badly.
Would you be saying the same if it was pompey or plymouth with that sirt ofperformance,
just because it was luton and them on such a bad run
We offered absolutly nothing i header from miete was it the whole game and 2 shots from the halfway line,
shocking perfomance
"in my book",
Or maybe
they did a number on us ?
they where more physical?
We did' nt turn up?
Its a small pitch?
The ref gave us nothing?
We forgot how to play?
It was rainning?

I have held back from saying this but this is why you don’t hire an interim manager when they take over from a very unpopular manager. They get a huge upturn in results of the back of improving morale from where it was previously and the players play with more freedom and confidence, however there is a reason they haven’t managed anywhere before and they often lack the experience to guide a team through a long and gruelling season. As much as the players love riza at the moment when they lose a few games and the confidence goes they see that he won’t have the know how to guide them through they won’t love him anymore. It happens so often with interim and caretaker managers and we should resist appointing him regardless of the result on Saturday. Riza has been fantastic and the performances and results have been great and I’ve loved it but it never lasts when they are given the job. We should thank him for what he’s done and given us a good chance of staying up and pushing up the table but we need a manager with some experience who has a track record of playing good stuff as well. Omer has done a great job but in my opinion move him aside after the Blackburn game whatever the result.

It wasn’t shocking, it wasn’t great either. we have a bottom third attack and it shows. All of a sudden we have a decent defence and centre midfield core, so we have pretty good possession stats that are worthless but XG wise we’re not at the races.
It’s as good as we are

spot on, we have had the bounce effect, which after the last manager wasnt difficult
now is the time to be brave and appoint an experienced manager

It was a disappointing performance and Luton were too physical for us. You knew they’d score from a set piece and that needs sorting out quickly. I thought Turnbull played well but there were others out there who weren’t up for the physical challenge. I know Meite’s limited but he gave it a good go when he came on.

Tell you one thing I’ve noticed as no change from bulet to RIZA our goal kicks mostly same centre half passes to goalkeeper we get closed down because teams know what we do they press high on us every time we end up rushing a clearance and usually lose the ball in our own half putting us under pressure this hasn’t changed under RIZA at all maybe it’s because we can’t kick long and win headers because we don’t have a target man?

When Roxanne stepped up, I think all of us would have settled for one loss in six …
Poor performance but not shocking ….
When u have such limited options up front as we do, then tight games like this where the other team is more physical are the ones you generally struggle in ..
It’s all about keeping things in context …
If we lose a few of the next six then it’s a different conversation

We've played worse, not shocking, but poor, and nice to know that we are now disappointed when our new higher standards drop.
A few decent performances, a few players went missing and a few played poorly. Subs had zero affect on turning the game.
Most things went down our right, and Doughty and Bell pushing forward didn't allow us to venture put of our half that often.
Not gonna single out any players as collectively It was poor. We didn't make the Most of any set pieces we won, and we let one of the shorter strikers on the pitch to win it with a free header from a corner.
In other news, Luton stewards were friendly BT pretty much jobsworths. Closing roads outside our end made getting back to our car a nightmare, and we got lost a few times.
Ref last night was very poor. Not usually one to criticise refs, but Let's just say Both sides were critical of him, but I'm not sure why as, apart from a few yellows and a decent penalty shout, they only had to go down to tie their laces and they'd get a foul. We, Robinson in particular, were almost mugged each time we had the ball, and the referee showed absotwly zero interest.

Are we just going to replace whoever is in charge every time we lose a game or have a poor performance?

This is the problem when (some) supporters value everything on the latest result…!
They must be great at parties doing the ‘Okey Cokey’…!
In, out; in out; and shake ‘em all about…!
