Riza going somewhere else?

Suggestions on Twitter/X that Omer Riza could be going somewhere else.

Possibly another club have offered him the full time manager's job.

Compensation would be cheap because he's only on a coaches contract with us.

This was always the danger with delaying giving him the job or not.

Riza is tied to Cardiff till June 2026

And I don’t believe another club at this moment would give Riza a managers Job in any of the higher leagues.

He turned us around from absolute no hopers to top of the form table instantly.

If he left for a permanent job, you couldn't blame him.

Do people in Riza's position have agents?

if so it may be the usual tactic of spreading rumours that led to McCarthy being given a lucrative long term contract to prevent him from supposedly being poached by Celtic. Maybe Riza and/or his representatives are trying to force the club's hand?

Tend to agree with Annis - huge gamble for anyone in the Championship to take on somebody with 8 games experience at this level and a far from impressive management CV previously.

I wouldn’t blame him; but it would show his ‘commitment’ to be fragile, IF it were to happen…

He’s done a good job here so far and I’m sure the club are aware of that; but having been ‘stung’ a few times, I don’t blame them (the club) for taking their time to assess…

At current rate, you’d have to say Omer Riza is the favourite for the job, so he just needs to settle down, prove his worth, and give them the prof they need to give him a manager’s contract…

Of course, it could always be another ‘Mick McCarthy to Celtic’ rumour…!

I think that just as the players and some of the fans are warming to Riza, he is also warming to them - so I don't think he would be easily tempted elsewhere.

I do think he will move on if he doesn’t get manager’s job.
