Gavin Ward will take charge of our game with Blackburn Rovers - not our goalkeeping coach, the referee Gavin Ward
He has taken charge of ten games this season, showing 41 yellow cards - an average of 4.1 a game.
He has shown three red cards.
Last season, he averaged 3.8 cards per game.
He has already taken charge of us once this season - our 1-0 home win against Millwall, when he showed four yellow cards.

Referees in general are shocking in the championship. Burnley robbed the other night at wba. An absolute shocking decision to rule it out!

Beyond awful so far.
Robertson got elbowed in the face and he gives the free kick to them.

They were awful, that 3rd goal didn't half look offside. And how they awarded the free kick to Blackburn when Robertson was clattered I'll never know

What an absolute joke of a ref he was today, totally biased, gave them the free kick when they took out Robertson. Robertson got pushed flying off the pitch with nothing given yet their defender got pushed and given a free kick!!
EFL need to sort it out. Fed up of seeing biased refs

Surely one of the analysts have a dossier on every EFL ref?
He didn't like the pushing in our group waiting at a bus stop corner routine, so we continued.
Rubin also needs to sort his game out because at 6"5' a lot of refs let a lot go, especially when your game is enticing players in for you to beat them.
He was inconsistent but surely we have to play them better?

I get what you're saying about playing them better but that is much easier said than done when your players are getting elbowed in the face & the ref gives them a free kick.

Did anyone else notice the ref and a blacburn player giving each othe a hand clasp/ shake after he awarded them a free kick
