Daland

Absolutely dreadful today, looked way off the pace.

Some were calling for him to come in for Chambers (who was ill anyway so no real choice) but he didn't take his opportunity at all.

Spot on, the guy is not up to it at this level!

I had forgotten he was playing as I couldn't remember him being mentioned until we were into injury time.

Re: Daland

He was awful and made mistakes costly

Re: Daland

Hw was responsible for thier 1st 2 goals.

He lost his marker and made no effort to get to them. Dreadful game by him.

Missed chambers

Chambers has cemented his position in the team now.

Too early to write him off after one admittedly poor game.

Look how poor Chambers was under Bulut but seems to becoming good.

Needs to improve quickly.

You seem very happy to criticise our players, with the way you've unfairly criticised Colwill and others in the past.

Daland hasn't started a game since Swansea, so what did you expect? Clearly, he was a little rusty and not match sharp, that's to be expected when you've been out injured and haven't had proper minutes for months.

Daland showed at Swansea he will be a very good defender for us. Chambers was very poor until he played several games and got into a rhythm.

Criticising Daland after his first full game back for a couple of months is very unnecessary and unfair.

I'm not "happy" to criticise any of our players. I'd rather come on here after a game and praise them all - but I'm not going to lie.

Daland has a terrible game.

You're right he hasn't started a game for a while but that doesn't make him immune from criticism.

Doesn't stop people criticising Meite or Kanga when they get their minutes from the bench - criticising Daland is no different.

He came into the team and he put in a bad performance.

Or do you think he played well?

By the way over the last few weeks I've praised Colwill, Chambers, Turnbull, Tanner, Robinson etc.

This is a football forum where people comment on the performances of players.

So I won't be told what to post.

Absolutely no way he caused any of the goals.

The goals were caused by players not tracking runners. Tanner (who seems beyond criticism for some people) and El Ghazi left their runners and it was easy to get around the back and simple passes set up the goals.

Neither CB had a bad game, and in a team letting in 3 goals that tells the story.

Well said - you are spot on. I believe Daland will turn out to be a very good signing.

He lost the runner who set up the first goal, that was clear to see. For the second goal he lost the goal scorer.

But the ball wouldn’t have hit that far with people covering their runners, it’s their job !

He was Maldini 2 months ago now he’s not fit for the championship ? there are a few on here who should put in for the managers job

Yes it make me laugh when certain people were all slagging off Chambers and saying how outstanding Daland was. Before today he had played one and a half games for us and admittedly looked good but hardly enough to judge him by. Today he was caught out but he has been out for a while. Early days to judge him either way.

I agree you can't judge him as a player off the back of yesterday.

But you can say he's had a bad game, which he did.

Chambers is a good example - I wanted him out of the team but later gave him a lot of praise and actually voted for him as MOTM at Luton, hopefully Daland can go on to a similar recovery.
