Honest opinion.

Cardiff today we're beaten by an average Balckburn side.
Up until the first goal (and tbh it was an excellent team goal) it couldve gone either way.

But as soon as we realised we were toothless upfront we were always gonna be chasing the game.
Ref was fkn awful, worst official performance I've seen for a long time.

2nd half got hit by a sucker punch at the start, but we kept on going.
Riza has got them fighting hard but we lack a genuine menace and threat up front.
Meite made us more balanced but he isn't the answer.
Turnbull finally scores but in vein.
And then a sucker punch at the death to end it.

I'm still happy with what I am seeing, and I'd like to see omar given til end of season at least to prove his worth providing he's green lit to get a centre forward in Jan.

Small steps rather than big leaps are what we are seeing at present.

Good post and I agree…

Too easy to slate the team but there were a number of factors involved today but we were overall no better/no worse than in certain other games with better results…

We are not going anywhere (once again) this season, so unless the hierarchy actually have a plan (it seems not) there is no harm in giving Riza his chance at least until January and maybe to the end of the season, if we are not going to challenge the top 6…

I thought Blackburn were a very good outfit today. Nothing particularly pretty or fancy but they were so well organised and ripped us apart on the break.

Funny how we all see the game differently, that's what makes footy so great I suppose...but they impressed me today.

The one thing that stood out that made me jealous...how good their captain was. The deep lying number 27. He did not stop talking and bossing his team around today. He directed everything. My god we need a player like this.

Blackburn played the perfect away team performance. They did their homework on us and nullified Colwill for the first 70 mins.

Their keeper also didn't stop shouting at his defense and their 23 didn't stop running and closing us down.

We 100% missed both Robinson and Chambers today and a weak bench didn't help.

Riza needs to learn quickly or things could start to turn sour.

Very good summary

Riza needs to learn quickly but beyond the starting lineup and maybe 1 or 2 subs, the rest of the players currently at his disposal aren't good enough. We have a few out injured but it's time to bring in some of the youngsters.

Only gripe i have with riza he won' t play reindorf who would offer more than willock as a striker
Apart from that our squad is weak we made 1 substitution today as riza knows the bench is shite and thats our problem after our best starting 11 we have nothing to change things
Its a long way till january .

As a team we are improving and our midfield is so much better than at the start of the season but without a top class striker we will always struggle

The blame here lies totally with the board it’s been obvious for 3 years that we need a proven goalscorer but every window they try to do it on the cheap with uninspiring loan signings of which Kanga is probably the worst of a very bad bunch

No Manager would get this team into the playoffs

With you on most of this. But would say, upfront Blackburn were slick and quite clinical and I’d give them credit for that. As always Cantwell chased everything from start to going off. We missed the chase down from Robbo today.

A lot was said regarding Rovers inability to score goals prior to yesterday.
That being said in the previous 4 games they had managed 79 shots, we had managed 80.
We scored a lot more than them but they were as intent wise very attacking.
