Boring football

Football is so boring now. England tonight sideways and backwards constantly. Does anyone ever take a player on and SHOOT? The Chelsea winger constantly jogs forwards, stops and passes backwards. Why? Used to love looking at players like Peter king, Willie Anderson, Dave Bennet and, Jeff Hemmerman, Carl Dale and Michael Chopra. At least they would have a go and excite the fans.

It goes from goalie throughout team.. if you watch pickford at games he stops waits then passes ... a complaint I levelled at anwick for slowing down our play which it does unessasarly at times. Point during game was made about the winger gets ball and plays backwards instead of crossing to the 3 men in area something else that is prevalent in today's football even in added time teams refuse to put ball in box looking for perfect pass to open defence of course rarely happens before time is up.

Someone in the pub the other week asked who would you rather watch, Man Utd in the late 90s/early 2000s or the Man City team today.

I said the United team because they would look to get the ball in the net as quickly as possible.

City play very nice passes and all that but it can take ages for them to have a shot. Can be boring to watch.

England are one of the most boring teams to watch and don't understand why they don't play an attacking game with the players they have.

Wales much much more entertaining than England if not as successful.
