Wales win their Nations League group and are promoted to League A after beating Iceland 4-1 - as well as Montenegro beating Turkey.

Also gives Wales a very strong chance of being in the play-offs at least for World Cup qualification. The four best Nations League group winners who finish outside of their top two in World Cup qualification and the second place teams in World Cup qualification for qualify for the play-offs.

A great start to the Craig Bellamy era.

Updated

Wales conclude their Nations League campaign on Tuesday night with a home game against Iceland.

Kick off is at 7.45pm and it is live on S4C and BBC iPlayer.

To win the group and get automatic promotion to League A, Wales need to win and hope Montenegro beat Turkey.

If Wales win and the other result doesn't go in their favour then they will finish 2nd and face a play-off against a team who finished 3rd in League A for promotion.

If Wales lose, they will finish 3rd and face a play-off for relegation to League C against a team who finished 2nd in League C.

Ned took a look at table and turkyre have + 5 to our +2
So make it if turkyre have any draw and we win by 4 that would be enough to win group ? Head to head same

Yes I think you're right.

Can't see Turkey not winning though, Montenegro don't have any points.

Got to win really, don't want a play-off to go down to League C with the likes of San Marino and Northern Ireland.

A decent championship level squad, isn't it. No player near world class. I think the team performs better than it looks on paper, which is credit to Bellamy and the buy-in from the squad. Going this nations league undefeated would be a great achievement.

Agree with all of that.

Brennan Johnson has the potential to be a top quality player but isn't there yet, makes too many decisions at the moment to be classed that high.

Harris and Cullen as the spearhead probably means we're hoping for something special from Harry Wilson again.

Where's Moore? Injured?

Colwill better option than Sheehan or jordan james

Better at 10 than Cullen, that's a dead cert. Sheehan and James got decent work rates.

I'm sure Graig Bellamy will check in with you next time he picks his team. We see it through blue tinted specs, he doesn't, maybe you should set him straight monty.

Jordan james much better than sheehan
And colwill is a creator and has that trickery sheehan is just a number in a red shirt to me.

Deserved lead at half time after a poor first ten minutes.

Look a bit shaky at the back at times.

An early third goal will probably win this.

Hopefully Montenegro can hold on too.

Well obviously we all knew Cullen was a goal machine   :laughing5: :laughing5:

I think we are a bit lucky to be ahead. They have missed a few chances and I really dont understand why Bellamy changed a decent centreback partnership. I would like him to switch Davies back alongside Roden second half. :bluebird: :bluebird:

Did Bellamy have experience of management or international management? - no .

Maybe people who support Cardiff will stop this crap about we need an experienced manager.
