Omer Riza:
“The players want me here, I want to be here and the fans are starting to want me here.”
"I just have to keep doing what I'm doing. The team has to keep fighting, they are working so hard for me.”
“The Players have put it on record that they want me here.”
“ Fans (opinions) have gone from sort of 20% to 80%. So we are in the right direction, it's just that pressure now of winning the next block of games and kicking on from there.”

Although he’s done a good job, I’m not in the 80%.
He doesn’t have the experience to be able to keep us up IMO. I think he needs a season or two under a good experienced manager and would be ready.
It’s shown in the last two games that coming up against good sides on paper regardless of their form, he has been out managed or got it tactically wrong.
Against Bristol he switched when we were o. Top and cost us two points. And I said at the time against Luton it felt bulutesque which was shame because we done so well in the previous few games.
I’m being as fair as I can but I don’t think he’s ready for a relegation scrap, I hope he proves me wrong.

I personally think it’s about 30% want him as manager.
I for one def don’t.
One of our coaches yes.

He’s a million miles better than Bulut, I know that much.
The players are on side, the football is better, but there are some cracks in his tactical and managerial experience that show through now and again.
There’s a plus point to be seen with the pairing of Turnbull and Robertson, along with Colwill actually being given a fair chance.
I think he could keep us up, but I don’t think he could do as well as an experienced manager like Bilic.
I do hope he stays though in some capacity, preferably as assistant to Bilic.

Keep off the forums Riza, only as good as your last game with many fans on here.
Tbh, its the modern fickle way I guess with 24hr sport coverage.
Good luck though with the games ahead.

Not for me, tactically out thought the last 2 games. It's a squad game but he refused to use the bench, then tells us the players are tired even though all other teams have played the same amount of games. Sometimes a manager has to hold his hands up and accept that he got it wrong, but this guy doesn't want to do that.

Not being fickle, just my honest opinion/assesment.
It would be a big gamble keeping him u til the end of the season.
But I will back him and the team.

Since Bullshit has gone he has definitely levelled the ship and given the players a bit of freedom and confidence.
However for long term not for me,experience is required for what could prove to be a relegation dogfight.

He's not a manager that will get us promoted, bilic has the experience to do that, for me i hope he doesn't get it full time .

I can’t imagine any player saying or indicating to any manager that they DONT want them there so doesn’t really mean anything. I’m sure he’s well liked enough but so will the next manager be by all of the players that he selects regularly in the team

To be fair, no one in the squad was singing Buluts praises

That’s a fair point.

Well said
Absolutely spot on

No not for me. We need an experienced manager at the helm and even possibly a footballing man above him as Director of Football instead of the car salesman.
I just can’t divorce Riza from the tactics employed during Bulut’s reign.
He was part of the coaching team and so must take some responsibility.
Or are we saying he did sweet fa whilst under Bulut?
After watching us get out thought by let’s face it an awful team in Luton, perhaps the sooner a replacement is found the better. That said, all the delays seem to suggest City are once again going for the cheapest option.

I'm also more in favour of a more experienced manager coming in.
But I will say that Riza would have had very little tactical input when Bulut was still around.
The manager decides how the team plays. His coaches may make suggestions but the manager can ignore that and just say "this is how my team is going to play". The coaches then coach the players going by what the manager wants.
The fact that we've played a more attacking game, particularly at home, suggests this is what happened with Bulut and Riza.
A further example is that some clubs will have a coach who works there for many years, under several managers who use completely different styles - Tom Ramasut would be the example for us.
Doesn't mean that coach in those cases will agree with any particular one of the managers he's worked with when it comes to tactics.
