Unbelievable

Isaac Davies out until December/January - but he had a very bad injury which required surgery. He was doing well but has had a setback. I get that that but to his credit he was in training and on the right lines. I wish him well and hope to see him play soon. However - Etete had his injury in July and won’t be back until about the same time. He did not have surgery. So that is about 23-24 weeks out with a hamstring injury. That is just incredible.

Surgery often means back earlier but unfortunately not all injuries can have Surgery even if appear the same... are ghry set backs or the science staff saying need more time contrary to what was originally said about length time out.... gone are days players came back when felt OK now it's after analytical study of fitness stats.

Clubs will also want to avoid players having surgery unless absolutely necessary.

Surgery can lead to more issues and shorten players' careers. Ramsey is an example, has had several operations which has had a detrimental impact on his overall fitness.

Obviously with Davies and Ramsey there was no choice but to have surgery, but it's best to avoid surgery if possible.

I respect your opinion and largely agree with you. But Etete out for that length of time with a hamstring injury. Bloody hell.

Is a bit odd but have seen such injuries put players out for long time probably just the nature of the injury causing problems... foot injury is similar can last for months when seems a small injury....

The one injury that seems to have more surgery is groin strains ... but agree surgery not best solution to injuries

Also just read on Walesonline that Simic - remember him - we loaned him straight out to KVK. He is out for weeks with an injury.

The same thing happened to Tsunoda when he went there - he has yet to play for us :banghead:

What a way to run a club eh?

Do we have the softest medical around?

We always buy players who either are injured or will be injured very shortly after
