Cardiff City have agreed a Deal:

Tue Nov 26, 2024 1:05 pm

Cardiff City and York City have agreed a Deal for Non League York City to sign defender Malachi Fagan-Walcott on a permanent basis after impressing on loan this season in The Non League Club.

Apparently they’ve taken over his contract and that’s the deal and gets Fagan-Walcott of City’s pay roll.

Fagan-Walcott Aged 23 in a few months and the Local Media once again put out Fagan-Walcott was a Spurs player ( Never player ever for their first team).

Made 1 appearance for the Bluebirds was sent out on loan to Dunfermline last season

Then sent out again this season to Non League York City where Fagan-Walcott impressed and Cardiff have managed to offload him.

I wish the lad All the Best for the Future.

Suppose you could say as much a Tottenham player as Lennon Peake was a West Ham player.

Or etete a spurs player.

We now have a history of the local rags trying to make the players seem better than they are.

Remember when we used to sign good players?

Lennon Peake spent 15 yrs at West Ham and was in the verge of the first team when he smashed big on several places, Neil you can be heartless as that ruined his career.
Peake started as a 6yr old at West Ham.

Plus Fagan-Walcott Spent his first 5 years at Norsemen Football Club.

Another player failed after sending them to Non League.

he did play for Spurs ? he played in a Champions League game for them, thought that shouldn't matter. he was brought in as we were severly short of options at the back when he came in (u23s not first team) seemed to be one of the better defenders we had in our ranks at that level, good luck to him

Was never convinced he had the quality to be good enough for the Championship.

Worked hard to be fair to him so I wish him well.

It's not fair on these players when the usual suspects on social media and the media talk them up, when they're clearly not at the level required.

Best of luck to the lad, not sure why we hold on to players for so long.

If they are on loan at L1 for example at 20, then sure, they might make it.

23 on loan to non league/welsh league chances are they are nowhere near good enough
