Omer Riza or Not :
I have made clear many times that Riza should not be our manager .
Most fans think the same ….at this point in time .
To start with , there are many better , established and proven managers readily available …..so why take a chance on Riza ?
The key question is …..what if Riza can really be a very good manager ?
What if our poor performances are not down to him , but down only to the roster of players he has inherited ?
Chances are that almost certainly we will not make the play-offs .
While it is possible that we can get relegated ……my view is that this would be unlikely ….as there are at least 5 teams who are worse than us .
So should Riza be given one transfer window this January ….to find out about the full extent of his ability ?
Riza is cheap on his wages and on his financial demands re buying players and of course he is totally compliant (which is what our Owner loves).
My view is that we should get a very good proven manager who can make demands on Tan .
What do others think ?
Should Riza stay till the end of the season ?

Annis while I think we won't get relegated waiting until January is a big gamble that may prove fatal! Tan will be making a £100m gamble that's the cost of relegation to him.... also will same calibre of manager be available if need one as there is now? I said was bored before halftime just like buluts games that should be
a warning to tan to get in manager now!

Absolutely not,we need a proven manager in and should have had one within 2 weeks of Bullshit being sacked.
Why had a replacement not been lined up,we are treated like mugs, promised the world, follow the club around the country to watch shit shows.

Never mind who the manager is we are going down with the group of players we have now .Recruit in Jan or we are going down with Pep or Warnock in charge ,Plymouth and Portsmouth with us .We are that desperate that we are expecting a young striker who was let go by Norwich to be our saviour, although he couldn’t be any worse than the strikers we have available inc Robinson

I’m not convinced there are 5 teams worse than us.
QPR I thought were nailed on as but after last night.

We need a MANAGER not a coach. Us as fans could pick 3/4 that are available now who would do a better job. We’ve got 0 pace in this team and scoring goals is a big problem. We need someone who’s going to kick players up the ass. I imagine Riza in the changing rooms last night probably said ‘ unlucky lads we will try again Saturday ‘ we’re in a relegation scrap and we just lost at home to bottom of the league. We need a change now before it’s too late

There are not 5 teams worse than us. I thought QPR was a nailed on 3 points, but not with that performance we just can't break teams down because of no striker to hold up play and I know nobody wanted Keiffer Moore but he would have made chances and scored goals. Did we want to pay the wages probably not but we are paying over the odds for R amsey and he was hailed as the second coming what a kick in the teeth that is. WE NEED A STRIKER WHAT EVER THE COST and for that you probably need to spend 7 or 8 million and 40 grand a week

Been saying that for 5 seasons but same ones on the forum keep saying we are not paying silly money as if it was there's.

No way are there five teams worse than us. We will likely be back in the bottom three at the weekend.

I’m thinking it’s down to the players blowing hot and lately cold, they had enough chances last night to win the game.
Im all for Riza but was disappointed with the lack of subs especially Reidorf.

I think we are in serious trouble this season the silence from the so called board is deafening I think vinny has made up his mind riza till jan see how he does then react but that could be to late because we could be cut a drift by then

I said a few weeks back give him the job.At this stage id feel better if steve cooper got the nod .
It's not just the manager though is it .
It's the entire club that is so poorly run .I do feel the we are relegation candidates and if you put me on the spot I think we will go down .
January transfer window and contracts of players running out and we have no permanent manager that is a recipe for disaster.
Unless it stops we will go down in my mind only so much any manager can do
Thu Nov 28, 2024 8:26 pm
It’s all guess work again , why can’t we be told what is happening? If there is a plan until January or are they looking now for a new manager . It’s just not good enough, the club is slowly slipping down that hill , the atmosphere in stadium is getting worse and worse

What I don't get is that you went on a good run when the new guy came in and with virtually the same starting 11. I understand it's "new manager bounce" but surely that proves you have got a good starting 11. It must be like groundhog day supporting you guys. Sack manager, manager bounce, most people say keep, poor results, sack. I know tan works off probabilities and I suppose in his eyes, if you keep sacking people then eventually one will come good and get you to the premier league.

We do have a decent team but what we haven't got is a decent coaching team? Riza is a very good coach you can see that from his 1st 5 games it's the people around him that's poor and like most good coaches they tend to be good because got good assistants riza does not have that luxury unless call purse good?

I wouldn't worry about the changing of managers as average life in championship is 9mnths.... as for getting lucky now warnock as gone there's not any coaches that can do what he's done .....what is needed is a good coach who as a plan and can get players to implement it obviously if given time Something the championship is less and less
Able to give.

Agree Reidorf should have been used .

We have to take into account the uncertainty of the situation.
Can Riza or the players do their best job with the uncertainty hanging over them? No.
You need to make swift and difficult decisions as a leader. Our board just leaves everyone in limbo.

I can see dave jones.ramsey and riza as a way forward
