Omer Riza says he had "first-hand information" that QPR targeted Rubin Colwill and Callum Robinson in order to stop the Bluebirds' attacking threat.



"The opposition aren't going to let you score goals. They are going to try to stop you," Riza said.

Nothing new there. Clubs will always try and stop the threat of attacking players - Robinson and Colwill are our two central attacking players. Their full back also had Tanner under control.

As a manager, it's your job to counteract that and Riza didn't.

They didn't need to target Colwill he was just awful, nothing to do with QPR. Constantly giving away possession, moving the ball too slowly and trying too many tricks is down to him. He's been given his chance and I think we can all see why other managers have had their doubts now. Not worthy of the hype and not a premier league player at all. If he was, he'd dictate a game like QPR whether he was targeted or not. For all the flair he's just not effective. Move him on for a decent fee.

We as fans talk on here before matches and it frequently comes up “who are their ones to watch out for”

It doesn’t take a pro licence to know that they will have spoken about ways to keep certain players quiet.

What it does take, is a plan B C and D.

He is nowhere near this and no idea if he ever will be

He just wants to be their mate. They both had stinkers and he is protecting them, not from me i can see with my own eyes, I have been watching this game long enough to know whats what

We have no credible attacking threat

Too late now, Omer. A decent manager realises this after the first 30 mins of that game and makes the change. Letting it play out to a home loss and coming out with this after is poor.

I have to say that I find it odd that Riza should have mentioned something that is taken for granted for anyone who has been associated with football in some way, for some time. And I'm not really sure what he means by 'targeted'. Players who pose an attacking threat will be 'targeted' in the sense that they will be given special attention or marked by two players maybe - but that's to be expected. Or does he mean 'targeted' physically with foul play? Can anyone enlighten me?
