Meite has a pop at the Cardiff fans.
The bit above where it says updated and the picture was posted by a moderator - everything below posted by the OP.
Just so that Roath Blue knows I'm not posting stuff on their behalf

Updated
Arguably MOTM today.
Has been useless for a while, but looked a handful today.
Physical, which we don’t have much of
Credit where it’s due.
Played well today

Yep, I’m quick to criticise so have to be quick to praise. I’d prefer him up front instead of Robinson as he’s more of a target man than he is.

Did well today. Wouldn't say MOTM, because I thought Robertson put in a Premier League performance.
But a very good game from him.
Shushed the City fans when he scored apparently (trains cancelled so missed the first nine minutes) - I don't mind that, shows he cares.
Hopefully he can build off the performance.
When I walked into the stadium and someone said Meite had scored, I thought it was a joke.

I thought I saw him shush the fans but wasn’t sure.
I don’t know how I feel about that. I like a bit of fight and he’s had his fair share of stick but also find it disrespectful.
I’m sure I’ll get over it and he’ll be gone soon anyhow.

Not a huge surprise to me. I've noticed that at the end of games, he's walked straight down the tunnel without clapping the fans.
He's obviously received a lot of criticism and I don't really blame him for giving a bit back.

Yes, that irritates me too. He’s mentioned the fact he gets blamed for everything on X tonight. If I were a professional footballer the last place I’d be is social media or message boards.
I do feel for him, but rising to the bait isn’t the best way to go about it for me.

Just seen what he's put on social media and I agree with you, it's not the best place for him to put his views across.
He's a City player so I support him but it doesn't mean he can't get criticism from us.
And, while he played well today, those performances have been few and far between.
Would add that I know he's received racist abuse in the past, before he was with us, which is unacceptable and may have altered his view on fan engagement - understandably.

Are we really getting upset by this?
Bless our little cotton socks after all the criticism he’s received. I for one thinks its a great post he shown his dedication and commitment to doing his best. Can’t ask for more.

I agree, shows he cares.
A lot of people on social media are angry with him but I don't blame him one bit.

I think we can.

You can’t blame him. I’ve been one of them that has blamed him. He was spot on today and I will be one of the first to say how good he was
Sun Dec 01, 2024 2:37 am
Wow he scored a goal, I still don’t rate him. I’m ok with him being vocal, but can he back it up next game, probably not.

No one in this thread is upset.
Is it the best move for me personally? No.
Sun Dec 01, 2024 7:43 am
I’ll try to support every player we have, but even us amateurs on the terraces can sometimes genuinely see when a player isn’t cutting it, like Kanga.
No one has blamed Meite for everything, just his own poor performances, and they’re down to him, not us. He’s done sweet FA for most of the games he’s played.
From the Luton match where he put himself about and disrupted their play it seems he’s started to make contributions to each game. He’s paid to do that and we pay to expect him to do that.
Great goal, great contribution and on to the next match. Hope this is him turning the corner in his time here.
Sun Dec 01, 2024 8:12 am
After his best performance in a City shirt, he can tweet whatever he likes. Are we still calling it a tweet?
Ive bashed him many times on here. It's not personal. We all want to get up the table.
I cringed when I saw him starting but was VERY impressed with him yesterday.
Non-issue for me. He clearly cares.
Sun Dec 01, 2024 8:17 am
No one can blame Meite for our overall performances.
But even he needs to admit he’s been f*cking rubbish since he joined us. This was the only time I can remember him having a decent game.
Sun Dec 01, 2024 8:42 am
I think there’s both good and bad in what he posted on X.
He’s a professional footballer, who gets paid by the club whose fans he is having a pop at. It’s not the best way to go about things and he should have approached it differently.
At the end of the day, he needs to realise that we aren’t blaming everything on him, we were saying that his past performances have been shite.
We will criticise when he’s shite, and give him credit when he plays well, that’s how it works.
It does at least show he cares though.
Sun Dec 01, 2024 9:12 am
Meite is having a laugh, have a look at the stats. They don't lie, he has been an under achiever bigtime. Yes he had a decent game yesterday but missed a great chance when at least should have got it on target. How many goals scored? Pipe down if I was him.
Sun Dec 01, 2024 9:53 am
Meite can have a pop at me anytime he likes and if its the rocket up his a.se
he needs from the likes of me good enough,
but he has nothing to have a pop about,
scoring 1 goal a season is no grounds for having a pop at fans.

Always the same, the ones dishing out the abuse can't take what they dish out. Good for him.
Sun Dec 01, 2024 3:02 pm
It shows he cares. I assume its twitter because here the criticism is he has lost it rather than not trying, unlike Kanga who looks like a lost (big) boy.
But, all that "shushing" stuff is great on your 10th goal of the season not your first
Sun Dec 01, 2024 3:59 pm
Needs to keep his panties dry until he scores more than one goal a season.
Wonder what Kanga's reaction will be if by some miracle a shot going wide gets deflected in off his massive shorts?
Meite should be grateful that nobody has sung about how they'll be on the pitch if he scores!
Sun Dec 01, 2024 4:05 pm
Interesting story! Robins says won't send a cv ect to apply for Hull job he wants to be offered the job instead?
Sun Dec 01, 2024 8:07 pm
I’d work with a smile on my face all day long for his money.

Spot on - Kanga has come in in for more stick on here - Let's hope he shows the same passion .
