:( Steve Cooper would relish opportunity to manage Cardiff but has concerns over how fans would react to his Swansea past.

Steve Cooper was speaking to some of the media and says “ Inhave always wanted to manage Cardiff City”

“My Father is an ardent Cardiff fan.”

I would welcome him with open arms. Just took him a while to realise where his heart lies.

What a statement of intent it would be to get him

I think 90% plus wouldn’t care about his Swansea past.

We’ve had some Swansea players like Leggy for example who became fan favourites.

Tate on the other hand, can sod off

When you have a manager offering his services with his pedigree we should be snapping him up
I can only see why we would' nt is that tan has bilic signed up for january otherwise tan is a complete kn.b end.

What’s his position with being paid by Leicester,I read somewhere that this could be a problem.

He's owed roughly £10m if he doesn’t get a job until contract ends but can't see him going 3yrs on sidelines.

I can't believe he is actually offering us his services - Vincent Tan please don't let this opportunity pass us by :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

If he did a good job, nobody would care about who he managed before.

Would have him as our manager as a heartbeat, really poor from the club if they don't even talk to him.

Honestly didn't think he'd want to manage us, but this suggests otherwise.

Bring him in.

How would fans think about Tate alongside him in a cardiff tracksuit ?

If you want cooper you have to accept he'll bring his own team if people are not happy with that why demand tan gets him?

Do you think Tate would come here? I don’t think so.

Welcome him with open arms just not with Tate. Riza kept on as coach

Definitely get him in ….its down to the board to show if they really are ambitious or not ….dont think the sceptics will worry about the Swans link if he gets the results

Thats his decision but we as fans cannot dictate who cooper wants as his assistant.

If Steve Cooper rings Tate and says I am off to Cardiff fancy coming along, then its all on Tate.

He comes, then any Jack Army credibility vanishes, even thinking about it renders him a traitor.

I don't care about Beaker, he won't be the main man

For the record this fan is 100% behind us trying to get Cooper

I would take Steve cooper but wouldn’t want Tate he is a prick

His present record in clubs is not that brilliant, and to be sacked by the Leicester owner is a bit worrying they are noted for giving managers a chance to turn things around, not sacking them. It seems the players were not that pleased with him as well

Re: Steve Cooper would relish opportunity to manage Cardiff

Absolutely the top choice of available managers.

The big question is whether he really would want to come for the type of money we’re going to be offering. I can’t see it myself, at this point in his career, but desperately hope I’m wrong.

There is no way Tate would want to come and, in any event, I think Cooper would recognise that’s a step too far in terms of loyalty. Riza has proved himself very capable and is popular with the players so seems an obvious solution.

Unless Bilic is already signed then the club should go all out for Cooper in my opinion.

I’m yet to speak to a City fan who doesn’t want him !!

Problem with the Leicester job is owner wants manager to keep them in premier league without spending the money yto help keep them there ? Sometimes you cannot improve the players you have with tactics alone....
Must hope he can turn an average city team into a decent one like he did at forest? "IF" he comes here.

100% with you, Simon…! :ayatollah:

I know Steve’s dad from way back when he was a local referee and he was on the Bluebirds books until injury curtailed his career. He is a massive Bluebird supporter and would be proud of his boy, if he were to manage his beloved club

The ‘once a Jack’ thing would be a minority view IMHO and it’s always better to be a ‘reformed Jack’ rather than the other way around. Others have done it, Andy Legg is a great example, so this needs hold no fear for Steve Cooper

Unlike the petty Jacks, we should be able to see the value of a Steve Cooper appointment, particularly for our youngsters, and the ‘Transfer Committee’ should go all out to get him in NOW…!

Sounds like a job application to me, but the big question, of course, will be ‘Will Vincent Tan see the potential of such a move or do we have a (new) manager already lined up in Slaven Bilic…?

Steve Cooper would be good for Cardiff, as long as he does the Ayatollah in front of the Jack's.

Interesting story? Robins says won't send a cv or application for hull job he wants to be offered or asked to take the job!

Does Tan know he is available
And does he know who Robbins is even ?
2 managers there open to offers ffs and we are waiting for something that might not materialise
We don' t know actually what the f.ck is going on
Hence my post
"When are we going to hear from the board".
