Irrespective of what I or anyone thinks about Riza’s official appointment as our manager - by of course Tan - there is one very significant telltale statement that stands out and it’s meaning clearly understood :


“ FURTHER DEVELOP A SQUAD THAT HAS YOUTH and ability ….AT ITS CORE” !!!


This sounds to me as a clear indication that Tan has no plan , desire or ability to spend any real money on acquiring proven players this January . Such players require money either to buy or in wages .


The core of the plan is therefore to develop from our own youth .


Will that be good enough ?

Our biggest signing in the January window will be bringing Colwill back from Cheltenham!!

Thats how i read it also and riza is just happy to be a full time manager his xmas has come early bet he cannot believe he is a championship manager

Mu Christmas too has just collapsed... while Tan stands laughing, pointing the finger at the club he is dismantling piece by piece, month by month, manager by manager, fan by fan.....

I’m all for giving youth a chance but now with this appointment it shows no ambition we looking at league one can’t see no other way of getting out of this we haven’t got money it’s pretty obvious with the permanent appointment of riza I’m done now this season had enough of the circus

This thing about youth is immaterial if riza is only here to end season unless of course we are in div one!

We’re not going to be buying players, just developing the youth and probably selling our better players…
