Chance for Rinomhota to prove what he can do.

I guess Meite deserves to stay in after playing well at Coventry.

Need to win this tonight.

No Tanner? He was struggling with a knock. Kanga not in the squad. Good but how pathetic is he that two of our U23 forwards make the squad ahead of him. Happy enough with the team.

True but isn't it generally believed that Robinson is our best option to start with?

Didn't want Riza but not going to criticise him for that.

Team news verdict

Three changes for Cardiff from the draw away at Coventry. Joel Bagan replaces Jamilu Collins, who drops back to the bench, at left-back.

Manolis Siopis misses out due to suspension, so Andy Rinomhota is favoured in midfield ahead of captain Joe Ralls. Yakou Meite also comes in on the right wing instead of Ollie Tanner.

Tanner isn't in the squad all together, for some reason, which will no doubt become clear later on, but Anwar El Ghazi is among the replacements after a few games out due to injury.

Cian Ashford also among the subs, along with fellow under-21s player Michael Reindorf. Still no Wilfried Kanga, whose January exit seems to be looming amid his contintued omission.

Preston North End : Woodman; Storey, Whatmough, Lindsay; Bowler, McCann, Frokjaer-Jensen, Kesler-Hayden; Greenwood, Thordarson; Riis.

Subs: Cornell, Whiteman, Keane, Brady, Ledson, Holmes, Bauer, Osmajic, Potts

I didnt realise Bowler is at Preston.

No issue with that 11 for me.

If you think either of them are ready to lead the line from the off, the you haven't seen them play.

Ashford isn't getting minutes and Reindorf was OK at best against Coventry and needs more time off the bench. Robbo is our strongest starter for now.

And how are they meant to get game time cos sitting on the bench is just pointless…..

Make impact off the bench and take your limited chances. Pretty much the same blueprint from when footballs were first kicked.

Are you arguing that either of those are better than Robbo to lead the line?

They couldn't do any worse if the first 27 minutes are anything to go by.

I can't argue with that.
