15 yrs of Tan. Your pros and cons???

Fri Dec 13, 2024 9:58 am

15 years on since he became owner

During this time whats improved? Whats got worse? Add your opinions. Heres mine

Whats improved? - erm..............

Two seasons in EPL (both disappointing though)
Academy facilities (grateful for that)
Season ticket prices and paying over 10 months
Pigs in blankets baguette for a fiver (if your early)
Madri on tap

Whats worsened?

The league position (the lowest its been and we are seriously at risk of dropping to league 1)
The squad (the worst its been)
We are in more debt
We have the most inexperienced manager we have had (recently appointed for a relegation scrap FFS)
The crowds are the lowest they have been
We have another countrys dragon on our badge
Malaysia on our shirt for the full 14 years (I am now sick of seeing the very word)
The loss of fans and ridicule received from the rest of the football world after he changed our club colours
The quality of managers and coaches (the revolving door)
Football advisors and voices at board level to make the big calls
Red seats
CCS is a Malaysia advertising board and travel agent
The atmosphere
The fun
Players who fight for the shirt
The draconian stewarding
True fans representation in the ivory towers
Communication between owner and fans
A plan and philosophy
Lack of presence in the City and catchment area/attracting new fans
Scouting/recruitment
Increase in free transfers and loans
Injuries and recovery

Started with a nice feeling atmosphere was getting better was more enjoyable until the forced rebrand , fans fighting against each other , club ripped apart because one man that don’t even go to games wanted red . That promotion season in the red I didn’t celebrate I felt disconnected and that it wasn’t cardiff city. And I’m sick of seeing the same bullshit on the kits too. Not a list of pros and cons but my feeling.

Nothing really positive, getting Warnock in and that miraculous promotion but we all knew how that would end.
Tan doesn’t understand the business of football. He should sell now and maybe recoup £30 million if what he says he’s lost by listening to no one. I might start going again if he goes :bluescarf:

Pros - none
Cons - everything

I regret the day the dictator ever heard the words Cardiff City.

The Despicable Rebrand & The Changing Our Badge to Worm for me just that alone is bad enough and rarely rarely happens at any Club.

Plus the Bullshit is 95% of the time.

FIRE AND PASSION.

How ironic that there has been neither at the club since that shite was introduced. Warnock era aside....maybe.
