OMER RIZA:

"We're disappointed to come away with only a point." Riza said. "We needed a reaction from the Preston game; we've got that today, I feel.”

"We went away to Coventry and to Bristol City and we should have won all three games.”

“We’ve come away today and we should have won this game.”

"All the players, to a man, were excellent - from the players who started to the players who came on.”

“We just didn't quite do enough to secure that win.”

"The Preston game was the worst performance we've had since I've been in charge - and I wasn't happy with it at all. I made the players aware of that, and they knew that themselves.”

“We are improving over a period of games.”

“We are going in the right direction.”

Well he's right about something.

We should have beaten Bristol, Coventry and Stoke.

But because he can't manage how to close a game out, we didn't.

Ned,

This where his inexperience could relegate us.

Imagine when we play better teams.

Harsh to be critical of him yesterday and against Coventry. Nothing a manager can do about last minute penalties or a keeper flapping at an easy cross. Thought his system changes worked yesterday. His inexperience has showed at home though. Preston and QPR are the real failures in his management.

So because Alnwick comes for a ball then gets nowhere near it that’s Riza’s fault?

Thankfully The Ref gave us a disputed offside goal and Stoke scored an own goal.

We are becoming so sad that we now praise a point against other dreadful sides.

If it was b Sheffield United / Sunderland etc I would really be praising.

Not good enough 3pts from 21pts that’s guaranteed Relegation if we keep this up.

We are having some of our worst ever runs. Sorry I can’t praise any of this.

No ambition if we go down this root.

Riza is the manager and yes he is the one getting the team to suddenly defend deep, we are letting the other teams comeback, if it was a one off, understandable , buts it becoming a costly habit.

We huffed and puffed yesterday against a very poor side.

Thats nothing to get excited about.

Re: OMER RIZA:

Every time we play a team the usual suspects keep saying they were a poor team. Get real - most teams in the championship are the same! We are not playing Liverpool or Real Madrid but teams in the championship.

Get real???

Answer have these teams been on appealing runs at the time we play them?

Simple question

Ian,

I agree I don’t believe we played well and it was a less than mediocre match.

Re: OMER RIZA:

Watched the Preston game yesterday and they looked really good against a Leeds team who are flying. No excuses we need to beat teams around us to have any chance of staying up, which by the way I don’t think we will but maybe they aren’t as poor a team as everyone was saying they are before we played them. Keep the faith.

Then why could we not play well v Leeds or Preston at home???

But if I said we should be getting a draw or a win at Home to Sheffield United I would be slammed

All I say is we should be beating and need to beat the Teams around us, if we want to stay up.

Simple question - you keep saying all clubs we play are poor. Would you like us to play the top 4 every week- even then if they were 4th you would say they were on a bad run. The championship is where we are and 99% are the same. Try to be positive and say we are not in the bottom 3.

Omer talked about players not putting in enough effort. Needed to prove themselves. Is that partly why the Stoke side was selected. Agree it was a 343 and worked, but some of those selected had underperformed previously. Willock, El-Ghazi, Rino, Chambers, Daland, Meite. Those who had performed (look at their stats) were benched. Colwill, Robertson, Bagan. Just a thought.
