Turnbull is out with a Hamstring.

NG and Tanner are out for Saturday.

Young striker Michael Reindorf today suffered an ankle injury which could keep him out of Saturday's clash with Sheffield United.

Riza says he needs two new bodies in the building in the new year to help steer Cardiff away from danger in the second half of the season. Of course, the completion of the congested December fixture list could see their situation change drastically before the window opens.

“We are always talking about players, potential for players to come in, whether it be free players, we are always looking," he said. "A longlist and a shortlist of players. We are down to have meetings with the board regarding transfers pretty soon and we can look once the window opens. Hopefully we will be in a good place.”

"I think there will be an option of whether it will be loan or permanent, all depending on what the remit is when we sit down and have those final discussions about how we are going to approach it.

Eli King aged 22 has had three previous loan spells. At Crewe, Morecambe and Ross County he has been given plenty of game time and taken to all levels seamlessly.

Glen Williams / Some from our Club raved about King, but still not put in to the First Team Squad?

King is 22 years old.

This most recent challenge at a higher a higher level for King ,League One Stevenage has been a little harder having just played just 11 times for them in the league, starting only six matches in 22 games.

The 22 year-old is another who has his admirers within the club and the Bluebirds fan base, but with that central midfield area of the squad so heavily contested, it looks unlikely he will muscle his way into the fray this season. Perhaps a season-long battle for the shirt at Stevenage might just add that extra fight in him to take him to the next level?


For me it’s time to move King on.

"I have been doing my homework with players and positions we need to strengthen. I will sit down and communicate with the recruitment (department) and the club. Once we've all sat down together with the board, recruitment, myself, and we will make decisions accordingly."

Asked whether the incomings are likely to be from abroad or in the UK, he replied: "It will be both. It will all depend on our final conversations and where that leads to."

Don Goodman:

Next up for Riza and his charges is league-leading Sheffield United and Goodman believes the Bluebirds are in for a tough afternoon.

"It's now no win in seven for Cardiff City after they conceded in injury time against Stoke at the weekend. That makes it really hard to go for a Bluebirds win against a team who are flying at the top end of the table," he added.

"United are unbeaten in 10, winning eight of those. In those wins, they've kept seven clean sheets. I couldn't possibly go against Sheffield United win"

Omer Riza wants:

Joel Colwill to join a League 1 Club in January, as he feels Joel needs to play at a higher Standard.

I personally have heard from all the Coaches and they believe at 20 yrs old Joel is worthy of being in Cardiff’s 25 man squad on January as he is better than done we have already.

Ryan Wintle, Riza is 50/50 as Bulut and Riza fell out with him that’s why they sent him out on loan.

I can’t believe they are thinking of bringing back Kieron Evans aged 23 from Newport and Eli King from Stevenage when he is struggling to get a starting place ???

Yeah I think it’s obvious what the trip to Malaysia was all about now. Agreeing the party lines and getting Riza on board

Why are they so reluctant to put young players in the team if they rate them so highly. Look at Sunderland they have a team full of players under 24 and they are not doing to badly are they. But there again our heirachy wouldn't know a class player to save their life would they.

Omer Riza believes our problems could be solved regarding Strikers

Cardiff City boss Omer Riza says Kion Etete and Isaak Davies are inching towards returns for the #Bluebirds.

The forwards, who are yet to play this season, both suffered setbacks having been expected back in October following hamstring injuries .

Both have failed in previous years for the Bluebirds, but Riza believes these two could in January/ February solve our striker situation meaning we would not need to bring a new striker in.

Annis RIZA IS DELUDED HE'S LOST THE PLOT IF HE THINKS WE ONLY NEED A COUPLE OF NEW PLAYERS TAN PUPPET

I doubt very much that he's deluded or that he's lost the plot, but he is certainly just following instructions from above. Did anyone realistically expect anything less?

Having a go at Riza constantly serves no purpose except to make some feel better & helps nobody whatsoever, except maybe Tan as it takes the focus away from him where this should all be focused. Maybe Riza will just give up sooner rather than later, because he will eventually either give up or get sacked by Tan & then Purse will take over until the end of the season.
