£4m buys you a decent striker

Sat Dec 21, 2024 4:34 pm

The reason why we are bottom of the table and Sheff Utd are top is down to one thing.....

VT not willing to spend money on a striker.

There again what would you expect from someone who criticised Dave Marshall from not having enough shots on target

Yes.

Apart from

Better quality players
Subs who would walk into our first team.
A proper manager
A club without a fruitcake of an owner.

Between us and Sheff Utd.

Sad how much of a gulf there is.

We were too quick turning on Warnock I think. We wouldn’t be here if he had stayed.

I never once said they were world beaters.

One win in sixteen and still level on points and only behind them on goals difference.

Wonder if Rowett will make much difference.

We have needed a striker for years - But we pay money for defenders - This season being a Good example - Why ???

The point behind my post was that we could have bought KM for £4m, and then less, and we chose not to.

Insofar as his salary is concerned the well respected Capology lists it at £25,000 per week - well within our capacity as Robinson and El Ghazy is listed at £20,000 per week.

We need goals. Weve needed goals for years. He continued to score for others.

100% right.

El Ghazi 20k a week is a monumental waste of money.

Agree and that money would have been better spent along with - The striker we bought and let go on loan ????
