Kieffer Moore loved his time with Cardiff City

Sun Dec 22, 2024 5:06 pm

Kieffer Moore:

"I had a great time here and I loved playing here, I scored a lot of goals here.

I suppose it's never nice for the home fans when I come back here and still score but I loved my time here."

Not sure what else he could say, it's the truth. We know he loved it, we loved him but it's about the pyramid and developing your career and earnings.

I hate all that not celebrating with your current fans. I wouldn't expect Colwill or Davies to celebrate if they scored against us as we are their club, but he was just an employee.

I don't like the guy but he's free to celebrate his goals as he sees fit. He scored as many as he did for us because he had Harry Wilson supplying him and the step up to the premier was a step too high for him.

This is how I see it - he was an employee who was given the opportunity to do the same job at a higher level and for more money.

I'm sure many of those who constantly criticise that decision have done the same in their own line of work.

Many don’t realise :

I said it then and I will say it again :

Dalman and Choo pushed Kieffer Moore out.

He was content and happy.

They sold him to Wolves without him knowing then it fell through.

Not like that pair to smell a profit and put that before the club.

I loved him, what we would give to have him upfront this season. Quality finish for the first goal

He was perfect for us.

Every season the same posters, who suddenly disappear say well done Tan / New Manager invested etc
And I say every season for the last 4 NO STRIKER WE WILL STRUGGLE .

I am called Negative, but the Truth hurts and they disappear.
They will be back with sarcasm the minute a new manager or we win 2 games

Yeah, unless we sign a striker I’ll start preparing myself for a few League One trips.

And I would still take him here now.
Regardless of what many say on here he can and shown again he still scores goals at this level

Not the first time the club have done this either is it?

David Marshall and his family were happily settled in Cardiff when the idiots running our club decided to cash in on him.

Despite the fact that he would have been happy to stay at the club he was sold to Hull against his wishes.

A good player.. but a journeyman
Downed tools.. for that he cannot be forgiven
Has no feelings for us and can’t be suprised when feeling is mutual.

Professional football is the ultimate capitalist adventure!

You (your agent) should know your value and get it or even more. When you are below your potential earnings the agent tries to get you more generally in the form of an extension with a new salary. If another club sees even more potential they make an offer to buy the player and you get a bigger contract.

When the Wolves move fell through we could have improved his contract to deter other parties and keep him sweet. Imagine being in a £500k job and coming home to tell the Mrs we have to move to Wolverhampton but don't worry we get another £250K a year then come home and say its fallen through. I'd be pissed off as well.

It's a short unpredictable life being a pro footballer, you have to take whatever is there or seriously consider it, and in life if someone says you are worth 50% more you will always take it.

In the next few months, we will all have opinions on
Goutas (31)
ElGarzi(29)
Robinson (30)
O'Dowda (30)
Meite (29)
Davies (23)
Ralls (31)
Etete (23)
Ramsey (33)
Collins (29)
Rinomhota (27)
Alnwick (31)

Davies as a gamble and Ralls as a coach but other than that i doubt any of those players will ever see championship wages again.

Its a short career in a brutal dog eat dog industry.....You take what you can

No offence mate but it is the truth & how a lot of people see it, just because you don't think so doesn't make someone else's point of view bollocks.
