Said it pre-season, we should have signed Will Evans from Newport: 25 goals and 4 assists last season. Instead, newly promoted to Div 1 Mansfield signed him. Know how good he is. This season 8 goals and an assist from 20 games. Two today and MoM when we're struggling to score goals. He's Championship quality. My nephew, in the same successful Cardiff Met side in their Uni days, told me he'd go far.

Step up to championship from both league 1 and 2 for a striker is huge...we have tried and it doesn't always work...
Yes would prefer a gamble like this on few players like Evans rather than paying high wages to likes of kanga and meite

Eoin Doyle scored plenty at League one level.
Max Watters scored plenty at League two level.
Neither scored at championship level.

Eion Doyle did although a few of them were from the penalty spot.
