Phone ins - BBC, Talk Sport, etc

Thu Dec 26, 2024 7:50 pm

I'm not great with words but many of our fans are. (I know some are not v eloquent either!!)
We should be bringing our club's plight to the fore on phone-ins, podcasts, etc. I know Savage hates us but we might get a tune out of Sutton.
There are a lot of fans out there who will sympathise as they have sh#t owners too!
Let 'the media' know as much as possible about the march on the 18th.

TAN OUT!

Nobody cares about Cardiff City except Cardiff fans.

Even the club's owner doesn't give a shit.

I can tell you Savage 100% doesn't hate us. I have spoke to him about City before.

He stuck up for us against Sutton when we were in the PL.

But definitely worth people going on 606, it's the biggest phone in debate on UK radio.

Not sure about TalkSport though, they will try and turn it against us, heard them not understand the issues Reading have in the past.

What would we say?

He put us in a red kit? Answer will be he did that years back mate and you are back in blue and have had seasons and seasons of Tan and only now you are having a pop.

We aren’t investing in the team? Answer will be he has spent plenty. Albeit not very well.

We are in debt? Answer will be so are many clubs and at least he’s covering that debt.

To us it’s a shit show and he is not being proactive at all but to others they will think we aren’t so hard done by.

All you post is true but it’s not what many on here want to read. Tan has invested in the team, the problem is due to injuries (e.g. Ramsey, Turnbull) or players just not delivering (e.g. El Ghazi, Chambers, Willock) we are struggling big time. However, we did need a better manager and our hierarchy are not football people, so all the investment is scattergun and we have no long term strategy. 75% of fans would probably say this about their Club!

Absolutely true. Imagine he had spent the money wisely and created a proper system. Imagine Sam had been involved and had the money to invest in a proper youth system which could get academy one status. That with the stadium and the training ground could be a proper legacy. Instead they spent millions on Cornelius, le Fondre, Velikonja and too many others to list who have been useless. It’s not one manager either it’s pretty much all of them.

Problem is, us fans do not have the patience for long term projects and it’s all short term. I get the impression Dalman and Choo are all about the next season as opposed to the long term as well.

As you said we have had no football knowledge at the club. After reading Bellamy’s book and seeing him at Wales it saddens me that he has not been involved more at our club.

The above about short term is the case at so many clubs.
