Don't panic

Thu Dec 26, 2024 8:02 pm

Expecting a few verbals, but I reckon once Omer realises he's picking the wrong players in the wrong formation, we'll get back on course. The 343 starting line up of late is a failure. Last two games he's switched to 4231 eventually, with Rubin no.10. Robbo up front. Today pulled back two goals. Rino is playing well. Robertson too. Pace and energy in Kpakio and Ashford. Reindorf when he's fit. Need another striker (Will Evans?) and let Wilf Kanga go. The next two games will tell if he's got it. :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

It’ll be too little too late. He said we would attack today, we didn’t. He’s useless

Incredible that anyone still thinks Riza is the answer.

If he is the answer, I really don't want to know what the question is.

Am sorry to say, as soon as Ashford scored, I knew The Tan brigade would hail it as a Kids breakthrough, the future of our club, a bright hope..... When we got our second?? I knew it would be 'We had heart' or 'We showed great mentality'.

No, Oxford took their foot of the gas. 100%.

Let's get one thing straight. THERE WAS NOTHING TO BE PLEASED WITH YESTERDAY. THERE WERE NO BRIGHT POINTERS FOR THE FUTURE

Agreed but it shows how low we’ve sunk that a loss against Oxford is accepted by some

Op didn't say excepted result he tried
to look for positives (even if others can't see any) for some it is better than wallowing in negativity until end season and behond! May not agree with him but he's entitled to put the viewpoint across.

Totally agree but there’s a difference between positivity and delusion. If anyone thinks Riza is capable of turning this around then I place them in the second camp.

Not sure anyone thinks he can turn it around...op suggests riza as learned from his mistake of 451 or whatever unfortunately new formation isn't working either so 10 out 10 for effort by OP. :laughing6:

Thanks for your fair comments Pembroke Allan. As you imply, we're all entitled to our comments, without abuse. Isn't that what a forum was and is for? Listen to all opinions and discuss politely. Abuse is for oafs. Just to clarify, check my other posts anyone, Tan was wrong to appoint OR. He missed the right time to build on the momentum when we were on a great run, results deteriorated then. The players spoke out on EFL TV. Probably felt ignored then. My preferred alternatives are Cooper, Jones and Robins. I'd even add Chris Coleman. But my point is OR must have seen the improvement when he brought on our best players and reverted to 4231. As I said, the next two games will prove that, one way or the other. Then replace OR if he can't see it. More abuse incoming I guess. Or are we a true forum for exchange of views?

He may have seen his original formation wasn't working but anyone vould see this 8 matches ago yet he didn't change anything persistently using a defensive formation even at home to supposedly weaker sides.... New formation hasn't really changed anything as he still plays o'dowda and other wingback as deep cover for r&l backs basically whole team plays 30yrds to deep to be an effective attacking force ... yes changes things at 80mins and gets reaction but it usually to little to late. Where was the attacking intent he said he would employ yesterday? He didn't employ it that's why.

You've just described the problem I've pointed out. Diolch. He has two games to show us he gets that. Then he's out. New manager has January window to offload and improve. Personally think Rubin should move on in January. He's too good for City and for our supporters who don't appreciate how good he is.

You really don't get it. He had very few starts till recently. Look it up. I'm not sure what your problem is. We should all be supporting the Academy and encouraging City to bring them through. There's a real negativity shrouding our club and you're part of it.

You lost me on this one; whose comment is it aimed at…?

Whilst I’m here, what’s your response to this (disappointing) thread started by you…?
